I always feel like there are going to be loopholes that will bankrupt my family and ruin all the planning and saving I've done my whole life so I insure everything like crazy.

Don't remember Tropicana specifically, but there was also a store called Charisma that had butterfly knives and switchblades sold without the spring, but they would just give you the spring which was a sort of tapered metal rod.

They mysteriously disappeared shortly after we got them, so I'm guessing they were confiscated. Also found another Zippo with one of my brother's friend's name scratched onto it. And another one I don't recognize. It seemed like everybody had a Zippo for a stretch there when I was a kid.

I stopped at two gas stations to find lighter fluid today, first guy at Co-op was like nope, 7-Eleven has it. The guy and the woman at 7-Eleven didn't even know what I was talking about, and told me butane was the same thing just a different brand. I'll hit one of those smoke shops in every mall next week.

Still no sign of that super cool foldy knife I had as a kid.

My youngest has had his birthday party yesterday and he was such a good little host. Started off with a movie and without any prompting he went around to all his friends asking what they wanted for snacks, and then came and told us their “orders” and brought it back to them. After that he handed out water bottles to everyone. And if someone ran out of popcorn or what not he’d ask if they wanted more.
