Avatar bet is open for any of you big talkers

only an idiot would tie up $1000 by giving it to some rando he doesn't know to prove a point on a messageboard

my point is proven again and again...read through this thread

is BTC dead or worth over 50 thousand Canadian dollars right now?

Avatar is too rich for all your bloods? god can you imagine

Topfiverecords with "dino7c rulez" in his avatar

that is priceless TBH

Every one of you guys turn down my bet that gives you favourable odds and I am predictable for not doing something stupid (thanks I guess)

Just think I could have "Crypto Sux" in my avatar if a challenger steps up

I'm betting on an all time high this year, it is very favourable in the favour of naysayers

It could go up to 65K USD which would be a major gain and I would lose to a guy who said it was "Dead"

Also, I didn't retire early by giving random people $1000 to hold to defend my honor on a messagboard

Avatar bet seems like plenty and there would be enough pressure to actually follow through for all parties

Better odds then $1000 even money on a massive increase % wise in price of Bitcoin? Very very easily

Buy long term calls and you would make exponentially more $ .

The bet really should be goes to zero or new high (but everyone knows it won’t go to zero this year so that’s a sucker bet too)

That’s why an avatar bet makes sense - it is for bragging rights vs $$

To put it another way - people betting against Dino could take another $1000, buy long term call options , and have 3 end of year scenarios

1. Bitcoin below call exercise price - $1000 win from Dino , $1000 lost on market - Net 0$

2. Bitcoin over strike price but below all time high - $1000 win from Dino AND profits from Increase in price of Bitcoin / call option

3’. Bitcoin hits new high - Down $1000 to Dino and up massively of strike price profit of call option

This is why only an idiot would make that bet ! Hell I belive Crypto prices will be higher at end year but I would jump on an even $$ bet that they will hit new highs this year for any $ amount as I could guarantee by hedging I would come out ahead, or at least even if prices decline over this year

This has to be one of the stupidest conversations on CP, and it's got a lot of high grade competition.

I agree.

I also think someone who brags about their crypto holdings value is small-minded.

I wouldn't change this beautiful avatar if someone paid me $1000, let alone to something disgustingly dino related over anything as lame as BTC all time highs that I've never once said I cared about.

I would though put up $1000 for a year of proof that dino actually read posts before responding through the red.

Is Dino the same one that flaked on another bet with jayswin? Or am I misremembering things.

I think that was one of the several iterations of puckluck.

Not me

I always pay up, although I win most of my CP bets and then tell the other guy to give it to charity

This can and has been verified

I never bragged I came here to give my opinion and have been constantly attacked so yeah when the people attacking me called it dead 7 years ago I will bring up some post history. And even then Jammies started posting old posts first. Which is hilarious because while not perfect I have been far more accurate obviously. Last I checked Crypto didn't die in 2018

So lame you post about it daily?

Your entire CP existence is knocking my posts and thanking posts disagreeing with me.

I thought an avatar bet would be a fun way to follow things, no takers though.

It's okay we know where everyone stands, let's see what the future holds.

dino must be raging again? So many posts in a row.

Been a rough week for him,

getting smacked around all over the board.

Shouldn't pick fights with everyone that responds to a fraction of his hundred posts per day.

Tough though I imagine to see your retirement fund lose seven and a quarter percent in value in one week alone. That's got to make someone nervous and keep them constantly on edge.

BTC is not my retirement fund

I am already not working anymore and don't touch these holdings fyi.

Bitcoin is on sale right now though, will probably buy more...bull run is on the horizon. You are either in or in the way.

I'm raging as you send multiple posters hate PMs, haha

Smacked around? What? Only by those with sore butts. They don't boo if you suck...I'm a high profile opinionated poster, I have haters and people that value my opinion. All good

This doesn't even make any sense.

But it sounds dope.

IMO, long term BTC will be $1 million per coin.

It might actually make sense.

Since it has no intrinsic value, and is simply a result of demand, you're either "in" (part of the crowd pumping it's value) or "in the way" (not buying in and therefore not helping pump it's value).

That's what's so bizarre about bitcoin. Investors NEED to convince others to buy in order to pump their investments. There are no profits, balance sheets, and business plans to convince people to buy in. It's word of mouth. If investors can't convince others to buy, it loses all momentum.

But if you aren't in, you aren't in the way either. You may not be helping pump it, but you aren't hurting it.

Ah, I see, so I'm in the way for pointing out reality. Got it. Facts are a threat to growth. That's how you know it's a good "investment".
