I'm surprised alliances developed early in the game and have stuck throughout because most of the games are different and a lot depends on turns and draws. Might be a hindrance to crowbar an alliance into a game where one member goes 1st and another member goes 6th. The Horror Race must have been interesting trying to manipulate the order.

Also being in a set alliance is a target for death matches because the others want to break that alliance and those in the alliance want to kill off the others. GGG has gone to the death match twice, GP_Matt did too.

Also this is a series where at the end only one person can win so I thought the alliances should switch from game to game.

Well the first death match I went to was because FC and I miscommunicated so that wasn't alliance related. Squiggs has hit 3 death matches as well.

Any reality TV type game show with one winner of the last 3 standing 2 formed a day 1 alliance that wasn't broken. So that's what we did. I think if GP had won the last death match we would have seen more pressure put on the alliances and the Puck's Dilemma game would have worked.

The benefit of alliances was that you knew you wouldn't lose and be auto included.

I do think a quiet alliance like Biz and Rathji had was probably the better strategy but I wanted to win games.

Ahh. I couldn't figure out why HD did that. I had told him I would stay in the sky for him to eat, and he could have eaten the other bird (GGG, iirc).
