Yeah I knew about light level scaling damage done and received by you pretty much everywhere in PVE. I was only wondering about environmental damage, like throwing bombs at Vasik and blowing up crates in the Crucible.
Good tip re: cat food though. I forgot all about it being an early game tonight lol.
Couple things... when you pick up your cannon, don't run around the map shooting servitors. You can easily shoot all three sides from your side. This will be especially important in Hard Mode, as you can't be wasting time running around because one cannon will be killing upwards of three servitors on each cycle. You need to drop them as quickly as possible in HM, and there's no better way than just standing in one spot and picking them all off, long range style.
Secondly, when you shoot the cannon at Aksis, hold down the fire button until the shot fully charges. A single shot will do maybe 20k if you just tap and shoot. Holding down, each shot does like 200k.
There's also no need to wait until the last teleport to use your cannon. There's no way to get all fully charged shots in one teleport, so it's good to spread them out. Cannons throughout the teleport phase, then heavy and supers in last teleport seems to be the most effective method. Shooting him with cannons when his back is exposed also delays the time it takes for him to close his back, so there's an added benefit to the empowered people by giving them some additional breathing room to get their square smash in.
Lastly, if you have a Dark Drinker, use that on the last teleport with weapons of light at Aksis' feet. The damage a group doing this can do is ridiculous, even on HM. The added benefit of having the sword equipped is also that the captains go down super easily as well, which makes the fight as a whole less risky.

I think we've learned a lot since that first encounter (such as the running all the way to the other end with the cannon). It's amazing at the time how we were able to accomplish all that without what we know now.

Can't speak about using Cannons to delay the teleport in between smashing his back, but I can easily get off 7-8 charged shots with a cannon which probably best to do during the final phase precisely because that's when tether/bubble is active for even more damage than just wasting it throughout the other phases. Might as well use sniper/triple tap primary inbetween.
It's not like you have to hold the cannon shot until it self detonates, only until the charge starts to glow which is about 2 seconds.

I've already done challenge mode and up to the first phase of the last dude in heroic on my titan. I can also bring either my warlock or hunter. Hunter would be preferable since I'm straight up in love with tether .
It can be flexible. Would prefer it if it was during the day. What time are you guys available? We can stick to the old noon schedule, or earlier. Whatever works.

So I'm hoping this will stay around after FoL. This would be catered more towards Nhamlet and the competitive players. But now when you wave off heavy the crate in elimination won't spawn.
Seems like you have to do it at the start of the match, no word on whether or not it works on other game modes.
