I think your best bet may be to make it yourself or ask someone who knows how to sew to do so.

http://www.ebay.com/bhp/vintage-money-bag
ebay has a few, but nothing exactly what you're looking for and probably not the size you want. Most on ebay look pretty big.

Be like my neighbours, do your dumping in the storm sewer at midnight. I wouldn't have noticed either, but the stripping the paint off the garage door woke me up.

If you did that to me, I'd make sure that I took even longer. My battery might even "die" and I won't be able to get my car started for a while. I might drop in some more coins and do the whole car again. My money is just as good as anyone else's. It wouldn't be my fault you were in a rush. You could have shown up a few minutes earlier if it was that important to you. Just because someone else wants in, doesn't mean they deserve to be there. You can be upset if you want, but the second you go accost someone for not doing anything wrong, you become a giant dbag.

Do you also want to start banging on a bathroom stall while some guy isn't dropping his deuce fast enough?

$3? The soap barely comes out of the wand after 1. Washed my truck today near my work and it took $5. Go to the one near my house and it takes $10 wtf!

car wash story - in line at 9:00 am on a Saturday morning and notice an RV beside the bays (tons of room in front of these things) so get third in line. After waiting about 20 minutes I go to pull up next when I get a knock on my window.

Old twat "I'm next"

me "where's your vehicle?"

Old twat points to his RV "that's me"

me "well why the eff aren't you in line?"

Old twat "couldn't fit"

This goes on back and forth for a while and just as I'm sitting there shaking my head the bay opens so I roll up my window and pull in. He was pretty pissed and cursing at me so I was THAT GUY and thought spending 20 dollars was well worth pissing this guy off even more. Truck has never been cleaner.

For the record, even though I try to go as fast as possible it's my money, my time. Life's too short to be pissed off about how long someone is taking in a car wash. If i want a quick in and out I should plan on going at non-peak times.

WRGMG is the 30km on 12 Ave SW as you enter downtown from Crowchild up 19 St. & the radar trap set up few days last week.

Of course I know officially not supposed to speed back up to 50KM until the darn posted sign 300M afterward the curve - but normally if you do not get back up to 'regular' speed you the regular Calgarian driving attitude of folks passing by.)
After 15 yrs of occasionally driving this way into downtown - last week I get a dam ticket for speeding up to 60km before the posted sign.
I have no case, but IMNSHO this is just a cash cow area for city to get fine revenue & not a safety nor a necessity.

(note this is not a playground 30 like the area on 11th Ave just past 14th St - this just a cash cow with 50 not being posted immediately after the 'hidden' pedestrian crossing as 19th curves into 12th Ave).

And yes of course I'm now driving the 30 limit when i come this way & getting all the WTF looks from other drivers who've not got the demerits & what I expect will be hopefully only small insurance rate increase.

Man, some people here have serious patience issues.

If you're going to wash your car during peak times, expect to wait. Don't get all upset because some guy is dropping $15 on his vehicle, WHO CARES.

I usually rock about $8, never really worry about people ahead of me or behind me. Sometimes, if the car is really dirty I'll hit $12. Rinse/Wash, Foam Brush, Rinse, Wax, Rinse, Done. If I'm in a rush I'll just do a Wash and a Rinse, but I rarely get my car washed in a rush.

As return said, it's my money, my time. It's really of no interest to me who is behind me or how impatient they might be, and if someone had the nerve to tell me to hurry and give me a piece of their mind, I'd politely listen while putting in another twoonie.

Yelling at someone for taking a while washing their car? Come on now, surely people can do better.

I just have this weird thing called respect for others. If I intend to take a lot of time cleaning the crap out of my car, I either do it at home, or come back when it's not busy.

Obviously the other side is true too, if I'm waiting in line for a quick rinse and somebody is taking a long time, I'm not about to start getting upset about it.

What is it with this week, it's like people just can't wait to get in an accident on the Deerfoot. Three accidents this week all on Deerfoot at Calf Robe. Get it together, you knobheads.

Funny, I have that weird respect for others thing to, but I just wash my car at the car wash like a regular person regardless of the situation.

So crazy.

Sounds like a huge waste of money. "Wax" at the car wash? Foam-brush on anything besides steel winter rims? You're just asking for trouble.

As others have said. Soap/Rinse and you're done for $4 max. Detail it at home like a regular person.

I don't usually take very long (usually about $4-$5), so I'm usually a good guy to get behind (ha!), but one good deed allows me to even it out with one passive aggressive deed.

When there's a big line, I always pull in, get out, see the next guy sitting there with that "I'm going to stare at you with burning eyes the whole time you wash your car, so that you feel guilty" look, and feel satisfaction when seeing the look on their face as I hit the close door button.

Obviously they can still kind of see you, but it takes away that open feeling with a dude just staring at you the whole time. And the best part is every time I've done it you can just tell the guy is really pissed even though it makes literally no difference to anything.

Some of you guys are doing it 100% wrong. After years of research, trial and error, I have mastered the coin-op for $5-6.

Pylons pro $5.00-$6.00 coin-op car wash tips:

1) Park your car closer to the coin dispenser wall. That is the side the hose is usually biased to come from, and it will eliminate hose drag and scratches on your car.

2) Pre-soak, the most important step. Spend a good $2.00 on the pre soak function. It loosens everything on the car, and everything comes off 5 X easier especially the wheels.

3) Soap function for a full $2. Top to bottom, two passes. Divvy the car into 7 sections. First roof, hatch/trunk, rear 1/4, front 1/4, hood, front 1/4, rear 1/4.

4) Rinse, top to bottom $1-2.

Never, ever, ever, ever, ever use the brush on the wall. Some guys wash the frames of their 4x4s with them, and they are usually full of rocks and dirt which will scratch the hell out of your paint.

5) Do not dry the car there, take it home and park it in your driveway allow it to air dry, don't worry about water spots.

6) Mist with 3M spray wax or Turtle wax Ice, and wipe clean with micro fibre cloth. This will take no longer than drying the car and will remove all spots. Pro-tip, do the glass with it too and be Amaze, Wow, Much Hydrophobic!

http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...tailing_a_Car/

7) Stand back and enjoy your showroom calibre car. If you maintain this regimen from day 1, your car will probably never require any polishing. I typically only keep a car 2 years, but even the black ones I have owned, are completely scratch and swirl free after 2 years of Calgary weather. My dad however has maintained my regiment on his 11 year old, dark blue Dodge truck, and it looks near showroom clean. And it has never once been touched with a power polisher.

Some washes suck, some are awesome. So YMMV. The absolute best wash in south Calgary, is the 7 to 11 Coin op wash on Horton road next to the London Apartments. I have tried every wash in south Calgary, and in 20 years, haven't found a better place to go. They do not recycle their water, which is a huge plus. Many places are now, and it leaves a scuzzy film.

AHhhhhh pylon! You had an excellent post up until here. Great car washes are like fishing spots; You don't tell the whole world.

Funnily enough, this is the one I use (I guess I might as well say it, now that the secrets out), only one car per bay, and lots of bays, rarely wait more than 2 minutes to get in.

Oh man, I can't believe you put that out there, that was my secret wash lol.

Magic or degreaser..... but most likely magic.

A lot of people don't use it, because they think the thing is broken when they use it. It just shoots out a fine peeing sort of mist. But if you coat the car with it first, everything just strips away easy, and you won't need the brush.

I have never had a scratch from using the foam brush. Have you guys actually seen it first hand, or is it some urban legend?
