Stafford has thrown for big time yardage in the second half here this year. Get the Lions a running game next year and that's an offence that could be Superbowl calibre. He's been healthy this year, and he looks like a legit top pick.

Not saying that's right - but that seems to be what everyone is saying.
Jets already lost.

Why do Oakland and Denver have to win???? I don't get that. Can someone explain??? Doesn't make any sense.

They just said on CBS that Oakland can only get in by winning the division.

I don't think so now. They needed the Jets to win and force a three way tie between them and Cincy.

Yup. Unbelievable QB play this year. These are MVP numbers

Beats me - if the Jets had won Tennesse needed a Raider or Bronco win.

But since the Jets lost they need both to win.

At least according to TSN, and other sources.

I can't figure out why that's the case though. My head hurts.

Cincinnati beat Tennessee.

Tennessee needs it to be multiple teams tied at 9-7 or they lose the tie breaker to the Bengals with both at 9-7.

If only one of Denver and Oakland win they get AFC West and Tennessee is tied only with Cincinnati.

Because Titans lose the tiebreaker against Cincinnati alone but would win a 3-way tiebreak between them-Cincinnati-Oakland/Denver

From Rich Eisen's twitter

Quote:
Texans go for 2 and win with :14 left, but false start & airmailed snap saves Titans season. Now need CIN to lose & DEN AND OAK to win.
Quote:
richeisenRich Eisen

Because of NYJ loss, CIN can lose and still make it with either a DEN or OAK loss. OAK now must win division or they'll go home

Because TEN lost to CIN, it needs a multiple team tie to get in, thus needing OAK to join with 9 wins in WC race, thus need DEN to win too.

Yeah they could have clinched a WC spot with a Jets Win+Bengals Loss or Titans loss+Bengals Loss.

But since Titans won and Jets lost those scenarios are out the window.

Lions-Saints would be a shoot out, but Falcons-Saints would be awesome.

I think the Falcons would scare Saints fans more than the Lions, no?

Is this a amazing season or is this foreshadowing of what is too come from qb play. Andrew Luck is coming as well.
