I know Denis is a lefty and that's part of it but the difficulty he's having against Denis's serve just makes me think Berrettini has a real chance on Sunday if that's how things end up going.

Denis absolutely has to take advantage of the Djokovic second serve in this next game. It hasn't been up to par today and the match is riding on evening things at 1-1.

Berrettini has the power game which is still the best way to beat Novak, even if it's difficult to pull off for an entire match (see: Tsitsipas in Paris)

It's a fantastic time to be a Canadian tennis fan. Denis is right there with the guy who will likely be considered the GOAT when it's all said and done.

You get the sense that he has more of a chance to break Djoker than he has in a tiebreak. Or is that just me?

It's great to see him hanging in here - something that wasn't even in the cards 12-18 months ago. Regardless of the outcome this should propel him to another level just knowing he can serve and hit consistently on this stage.

This match can still go his way but he's going to have to play a much more sensible tie-break (if he get's it there).

No business winning that point Novak. None.

And there you see the result of letting that slip - next point it's still bugging him. Big oof.

I wouldn't be surprised if the shot he hit before the lob to the left sideline was actually out, mind you. It looked like it should have been. I don't trust these line judges at all today.

And now Novak takes Shapo to school with some excellent net play to close out the set.

I mean a straight sets loss isn't a shock, but the disappointment was Novak's level is where it needed to be for the upset. Denis is still learning how to handle those big points, today another learning experience.

Denis can only hope his youth can overcome Novak's fitness now.

The set score could easily be 1-1 right now and it's not a stretch that Denis could be up two sets to love. That's Novak for you.

It could easily be 2-0 Denis, he served for the first set and then had two games in the second with multiple break chances.

What he needs to do here is just keep playing well and whatever happens happens. Just hold your head high that you played as well as you could, and if it wasn't enough, get better for next time.

Fantastic point by Denis. Patiently waiting for his chance to move forward.

A bunch of this match has felt like Denis easily holding serve, then Novak struggling to hold his serve.

And yet, Novak leads in breaks 2-1, and is up 2-0 in sets.

Feeling like this set may go Denis' way if he can break through and get this game. He's making some great choices with his shot selection again now mixing in the odd slice and staying in rallies.

Man, if Denis can harness the serving form he's shown at Wimbledon this year, he is not going to be falling out of the top 10 anytime soon.
