Bowen Yang - “I’m a kind of doctor.”
That killed me.

This was a decent show for a change. I’ve never heard of Nate Bargatze but was pleasantly surprised.

He played that set perfectly, knowing that there'd be a lot of "ugh who's this guy" watching. Loved the calling himself old at 42 or whatever. "And here's the thing, there are people older than me out there!".

No idea who he was, but I actually really enjoyed his opener and will check out some of his stand up.

He's one of those guys that you just constantly hear other comedians praising, so pretty cool to see his name actually out in public for once

His newest one is great too. I think he’s going to get huge. He’s got an act anyone can appreciate because it’s clean and his dumb guy character is on point.

That was one of the better shows they’ve done in a while. Bargatze was very funny, and the Foos were terrific. It’s also fun when Grohl participates in the occasional sketch, like the “Lake Beach” clip. Dude has legit comedic chops.

The George Washington weights and measurements sketch is an instant classic, and Nate nailed the timing on all his lines

".... you asked about temperature" might go down as one of my favourite SNL lines ever.

An instant all time classic. The delivery was perfect for every line.

neither as far as I can tell did the great Conrad "Mister Drummond" Bain or Bret Hart or any of the Calgary adjacent wrestlers other than the Rock.
could come up with Mark McKinney as cast and writer (but he wasn't born here) and Mark McCulloch I think was a writer only? then there is Loverboy who again sort of qualify...
I assume there are other/better answers?

I didn't watch much last night because I really don't like Timothy. Saw Weekend Update and that was easily the weakest iteration I've seen in a long time.
