Yeah I'm a little sick of seeing the San Jose Sharks play.

The problem isn't Crosby's line, but the fact that Babcock refuses to play them more.

Crosby is probably the best player in the world right now and Babcock refuses to play him. I honestly don't get it.

Morrow was barely out. Also, Crosby has been the one sucking on that line tonight.

hilarious.
It's early, but yeah, the defencemen need to pick it up.

Crosby needs to get it out of his head that he is playing in an all-star game. He needs to bear down and shoot rather than try to make so many fancy plays.

I agree. It makes everyone timid and afraid to make mistake or else they'll be benched.

Can't play passive in this tournament.

Canada stands a much better chance rolling 3 lines and the odd 4th line. If Babcock continues throwing out the SJ line every second shift this is not going to end well.

God I'm having to watch this on NBC (in Phoenix), they are so pro swiss it's disgusting. They are showing the hit on Iginla has the hard hit that was the turning point in the game. ugh

Heatley is showing that you need to be a little bit used to international styles of play. You can see all the young kids getting very fustrated by all the interfering and grabbing and making stupid decisions.

Good choice in picking an almost completely international experience lacking defense. Niedermeyer, seabrook, Keith and Pronger look absolutely lost.

Great contribution to the thread, as always.

The Canadians are clearly the better team have missed 10+ easy chances to score and are getting grabbed, held, tripped, hooked and slashed all game long and yet because the Swiss gets a lucky goal it shows that Canada can be tamed?

Sure sounds like his stupid argument is right>

and the thing is that they don't have much time to pick it up. they need to get their head in the game NOW, because the teams they will play in the future will burn you on every single stupid play.

Crosby has had the puck in their zone in good areas whenever he has been on, which was maybe for 3 minutes in that period it seemed like. Don't get how he was the one sucking? his line mates won't get open. Put him with Getzlaf and Perry or something, anything to get him going

Morrow has barely been out, it seemed as though Crosby was on less, I can;t remember seeing him on the powerplay at all

I'm still in shock seeing iggy infront of the net, then being the first forward back on the back check.... too bad he doesn't play that way here more often.

Toblerone and Sugus for the win.

Barbie Lou definitely needs to start the next 4 games.

There is a lot of international experience between Niedermeyer and Pronger.

Problem is Niedermeyer has been over the hill since last season, Pronger we knew would take stupid penalties and Keith/Seabrook are playing almost exactly like I predicted.

They worked damn hard for those bounces.

If Canada had shown 1/4 of that hustle during their many, many unanswered power plays, this wouldn't even be a game any more.

As is, the game is tied, and the momentum is against them. This is not because of luck. It's because the Swiss are working much harder.

What are you talking about? Nash has been all over the place and very noticeable when on the ice?

I understand the frustration Babcok has with the first line right now. Crosby isn't keeping his game simple, he needs to drive hard to the net and shoot it. Of course Iggy needs to sit if the line isn't producing which is complete BS. He has been the better of the 3 players. What would I do? Sit Crosby for a shift to get the msg accross and then play the hell out of him and the top line for the remainder of the game.
