People know they can set their lines in the game menu, correct? In the last league that I played, they had Gaborik scratched and some 68 overall guy on the second line.

Ottawa is open to some trades. Need a decent playmaker. Have a few snipers.

It also helps if you use a winger. They'll leave the points open, but the front of the net is still covered by your 2 d-men. But sometimes there's really nothing you can do.
My pet-peeve is the slap-flip-pass one-timer out of mid-air.
People wind-up for a slapper, and as they're moving forward with the stick, they press the R2 button. It passes the puck about waist-high. It's a very difficult shot to master, but if you know how to do it, it gets you goals. I never use it, but people always seem to try it against me. That's usually a green light for me to use any moves I want.

I think I do that one, except I never get goals .
I hold rb, and then slap shot, because I like the manual aim. The impossible tips you get from every player are fun to pull off, but I've only ever gotten one goal from it, and it wasn't in this league. I sometimes dump it around the boards like that if I'm in the offensive zone, so I can get it deep and not lose possession, of course, you don't know that since I basically put everyone on D against you lol.

The ones you do are slower passes. The ones I'm talking about are like rockets and nearly impossible to stop.

Ryan Malone on TBL is on the block. Make an offer if you're interested. He's a very serviceable top-6 winger.

QQ: When I'm (or someone) else is online but playing a different game does it show this under our league menu?
I'm often online but playing a different game (COD). I don't really play NHL anymore unless I'm playing someone specific, so I never put it in unless someone requests me to do so.
I'm in the thick of finishing class projects/essays & then I'm into finals. Once that is all done (15th) I'll be able to get a lot of games in.

Jayems five-hole deeke he pulls 6 or 7 times a game on the other hand......

I've played a game or two, and I'm not naming names.. But the person tried that move non stop. Doesn't matter how good you are on d, that shot works well from a bunch of different locations on the ice, not just the spot in the video. So unless you can block every shot, it's pretty high percentage. I played a game the person tried it for EVERY shot, scored on 2 of 3. I asked them to stop trying that same glitch over and over. They stopped. We played I got ahead, and from then on, it was the only shot they tried.
Now sure you can block a lot of those, but you can not block them all, and if they get 4 shots on net, you can almost guarantee that 1 or 2 go in no matter what.
I've played a ton of games online, for the last 3 years, this move is seen a ton in online team play.
I consider myself to be a pretty decent player, (although i'm not doing well with Buffalo this time around, they have some very low rated players, and yes I've changed my lines) I think in the last league, I had played a bunch of games as Nashville and I only lost a few.
At the end of the day, I don't mind if it happens occasionally, but if it's the only shot tried, then the person is trying to exploit.

Good game Jayems, I had to hurry, so I went for a run and gun game, which against you is like 10 shots, haha. I need to warm up before playing you the final time (I think we have one left), so that I can actually play a close game.

Lol these are directed at me. Just feel like I need to defend myself a bit.
I didn't know these were considered "glitch" shots. I wind up for wrist shots..thats just how I shoot. When I have Thornton or Marleau..two players with some of the best wrist shots..I'm going to wind up, wait for your defender to screen your goalie, and shoot. Isn't this just playing smart? Isn't it just common sense to try to get the hardest shot possible by winding up? What's next? Can't wind up past your waist on a slap shot? You can only shoot back hand on breakaways? Come on man.
Anyways after you told me I was a glitcher the first game, I literally stopped doing ANY wrist shots and still ended up scoring 5 more goals. Furthermore, the second game, I tried this same shot from everywhere as you said and your goalie stopped everything and you shut me out. Isn't this "glitch" shot suppose to go in the majority of the time according to you?
You lost the first game because you had no D, not because of a "glitch" shot. You fixed the problem in the second game and won. I don't see what all the crying is about?

No crying. Its pretty well known and I find it hard to believe you didn't know, I play online a fair amount and I knew.
If you didn't know it was a glitch, you wouldn't have stopped taking that shot. If I remember right all I said in my message was quit using the glitch shot. Somehow you immediately knew to stop that particular shot. Glitching could have referred to a number of things, shooting from a certain place, etc.
Your first two shots in a row went in using that shot. Thats when I called you on it, and fairly you didn't use it anymore. But oddly enough you were still able to take wrist shots, without any problems.
Second game you didn't do it all game, I know this because I would have just quit and gave you the win. I got ahead, and when you couldn't tie it up, just playing normally, you went nuts in the third and making it the only shot you tried. Luckily you didn't get many shots in the third I think we both finished with about 15 shots.
I'm really not crying, I don't care about winning games, which is evident by my current record LOL. it's fun thats all. I see it enough online, and I was just saying, if there are people who want to play that kind of game, I'll gladly give them the win, because I find it annoying.
Oddly in the previous league and this league I've played a number of people and had zero problems. It's been a lot of fun.
So don't sit here and play innocent and spew your crap at me about "D" and how soon you won't be able to play the game at all. Everyone who has played NHL knows there are always glitch shots that ALWAYS seem to go in, and while that will happen once in awhile, when it's the ONLY move tried, it's just annoying.
ALSO this isn't the first time you've been questioned about cheese tactics in this thread.... Like I said you brought it out, I didn't name who was doing this.
Seriously though, I'm not mad, annoyed or anything, I was simply stating I'm not into playing those games, and to keep the league going, would just forfeit those games. No biggie, either way just want to play some fun games win or lose, and I've lost some doozies!!

Just to chime in here in defence of eddy, we played a game last night night and I don't think you did that at all in our game. Eddy played a good game, I only beat him because I got a 5 on 3 in OT. He never tried this glitch shot in OT. Anyways, it was good last night as there were quite a few guys on late. Good games.
And Bryzgalov was huge (and lucky) when I played Jayems...
