Ya I think it is dying. I say we scrap the league and start over. Play each other once or twice and only players who can commit.

Yeah, I'd be down. Is there an option to just do a playoff with random seeds? That way people who weren't winning (the people who lose interest in round robins) would get eliminated and better players would move on.

I've been trying to get games for the past 4 days with no luck. So, I'm withdrawing from this league.
I am happy to play in a smaller league as koop proposed, but I'm not wasting time on this league when no one is ever on.

Yeah there was/is a core group who is on there, but I have finished my games with them, or just miss them online, being in a different time zone.
Time to start one with just the interested folks. If we get the right people we could play a pile of games against each other.

I would be down with that. Nothing fustrates me more when ppl sign up just for the heck of it and know they can't commit.

I say if we create a new league, one rule, no aggressive lifting of the stick.

How do you propose that gets enforced?

Hard to enforce that but players who sign up for the league take that into account, I guess. Kind of like good sportsmanship not to do that.

you do realize that th guy who started this league is the king of stick lift/poke check/one timer goals right?
I had him in a 1-1 tie until my boss starting bugging me at home when i was "working" the other day. You can beat guys who do that.
It is frustrating, but the way I see it, they are better at that part of the game than me. I start doing that and get penalties, what can you do?

Ya Zukes, it is no wonder why the guy is in 1st place when the whole game all you do is lift the others stick and poke check. Poke checks I have no problem with but how often in a real NHL game do you see players lift others stick? It doesn't happen to often, maybe once a game, if that.

Really the thing is, if you weren't any good at protecting the puck in the NHL, you'd get poke checked and stick lifted to hell. Same in the game. You guys aren't protecting the puck. So, learn to protect the puck and you won't have a problem.

Agree with this post. There are so many controls in this game that can be utilized to help control the puck. Even simple stickhandling will help you get through this.
It's just like a real game. If someone is stick-lifting/poke checking you to death, maybe you shouldn't skate straight in. Try dumping it in. Don't separate so much from your defence. Lure in their players. That's part of the game. If you and someone else don't match up, you have to adapt.
So if you get some poke-check happy ###### in a game, play in a style where he won't be able to do that. Like I said, there are so many controls to use.
Ex. Protect Puck, Flip Dump, Slap Dump, Stickhandling, Boardplay, etc. I could go on and on. That's usually what separates the good players from the not so great ones.
Just my 2 cents.
