I started at $200 at the beginning of the season that became $400 right off the bat due to a deposit bonus. I'm currently at $750. My high was $900 but i took a huge loss the weekend before this one.
I only really liked 3 teams on the spread this week, Rams, Bears and Miami. I put $100 on each, and ended up winning Rams and Miami so won ~100 this week.
I tend to only bet 3-6 games per week and have done pretty well, my best week going 5-1 my worst 2-5.

Doesn't the 'rake' kill you? You win 2 out of 3 and only make $80.
I used to try to be smart and find something like a stupid soccer or tennis match that was like 1.1 to multiply to the 1.9 to cover the rake.
But then the 1.1 bet would lose! FML!

Not really, that games odds just on the posted spread were $100 pays out 94.xx . Also i occasionally buy down half points to even the odds...ie. if the spread is +/- 4 i'll move down to 3.5 points as the underdog as teams generally don't lose by 4 points.
I just bet on the spread yesterday however and was paid out 389ish, so you're right...only $89.

Auburn -6.5 over Georgia at home looks low. I thought it'd be -10 with a #1 team against an unranked team.
There have been distractions with Newton but it shouldn't affect him on the field I wouldn't think.

I think there were questions whether he would play at all, the line was off the board earlier this week. If Cameron plays I'd have to agree with you, though.
EDIT: Newton will start per ABC.
