Why do people get so stupid when there is a heavy snowfall?

A guy on my moms street, in order to shovel his driveway, parked his car in the middle of the street. Literally, just pulled the car out of the driveway and left it there.

Unreal.

Its depressing to be blamed almost all day for flights being cancelled. Apparently I can control the weather...

I got a random phone call from my Visa company earlier tonight. The same number has been hanging up on me for weeks so I assumed it was a normal telemarketer. When they said, "I am calling from your Visa providers head office in Toronto" I pretty much flipped out on them and accused them of everything from attempting idenity theft to phishing for Visa numbers from Nigeria.

Turns out it was actually Visa.

Anyway, I hope it wasn't real important since I hung up on them before I researched the number they were calling from.

I hate being the DD...seriously it's all fine and dandy for everyone else but I just got home. And I'm tired. Off to bed now.

I am really not looking forward to Christmas this year. My moms new husbands family is going to be here and I really am not looking forward to that. Then I get to trek over to Niagara for Christmas with my dad and his girlfriend and her family, which I am really not looking forward to... I want one quiet Christmas without travel. Just one.

Why do companies like Sony/Panasonic/Sharp/etc try to show me how great the picture quality is on their TV's in their commercials? I have an old crappy TV, so that picture they're showing me, is also old and crappy. If my TV were capable of the high quality HD picture they were trying to advertise, then I wouldn't need their TV because mine is just as good.

I drank out of a glass like that once, and I have this strange habit of biting a glass before I drink out of it. Anyway, took a drink and the glass shattered in my mouth. I didn't bleed or anything though, but it was embarrassing...

Don't buy store brand break and bake sugar cookies when the package has exactly the same colours as the name brand version. I should have known before I even baked them when some cookies were twice the size of the others.

Since the Senators game isn't available on tv anywhere tonight, I'm going to make this up to myself by baking cookies from scratch tonight. And I'm posting this so that I don't get lazy and change my mind.

^^They look good. I am going to attempt Peppermint Chocolate Meringues tommorow. I am nervous. I don't think they will look as good as your cookies. But I got the recipe from Shape magazine, so it's a bit better than regular desserts, sugar content wise and calorie wise. I hope they are good.

Thanks. But it's not about looks, it's about taste.

Meringues are pretty easy though as long as you don't over whisk your egg whites. The part I hate is separating the whites from the yolks. I'd use two bowls to do it, one for the egg white I'm separating and one for the ones I've successfully separated, but I usually forget until it's too late. Then I'm praying that there's no yolk mixed in while the egg whites are being whisked.

I think shipping to Calgary might take awhile this time of the year.

I don't think olive oil has an expiry date.

Can I not just use the whole egg? What am I supposed to do with the yolks? My head hurts.
