Anyone been watching Irving lately? Seemed like he was possibly our top prospect when we drafted him and has dropped a bit the last year or two. Any comments on him and think he could possibly be our backup next year?

I haven't seen him personally but his stats in the AHL are good.
Irving is 7th in the AHL with a 2.35 GAA. He's got a SV% of .906
Not bad for a rookie.

Aulie out indefinitely with a broken right hand.

With 15 games remaining in the season, it doesn't look good for Aulie being available for the dub playoffs. Big loss for the Wheaties.

Backlund with another goal and +1 in a 3-1 win over the Bruins last night
GP G A P +/- PIM
25 10 16 26 6 26
So far this year.
Alot of people still wanna crap on the kid, but his addition to the Kelowna Rockets, along with Grantham who is
GP G A P +/- PIM
24 2 9 11 7 51
has made the Rockets one of the serious playoff threats. Right up there with the giants and the hitmen.
The rockets are one of the only teams to beat both the Hitmen and the Giants in their own arenas.
Looking forward to seeing how the team fares against the Giants again tonight.

Looking forward to watching Nemisz and Tavares today. Going to the Windsor/London game this afternoon.
Nemisz looked good out there today, 1 assist, however a loss to London today was disappointing.
Nice to see Tavares have the hat trick and break the OHL record for points, even though it was against Windsor

Nick Larson has officially caught fire for the Waterloo Blackhawks in the USHL. In his last 12 games he has seven goals and ten assists for 17 points. He is currently on a six game point streak including a six point night where he scored the game winner and added five assists.
http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/...2&numgames=all
Prior to the draft, some were calling Larson one of the sleepers of the draft. He's headed to a very good (currently #2 program in NCAA) Notre Dame team where he can continue to develop for four more years. Looking forward to following his progress a little more closely and watching him in person at the end of the month.

Nemisz wasn't in the lineup tonight for Windsor; injured or resting for the playoffs?

Resting for the playoffs: http://www.windsorstar.com/sports/Sp...819/story.html
Seems wise, although I wanted to see him get a few more points to cap off the season.
In related news, Mitch Wahl scored twice tonight, with one goal shorthanded.
