Hey, that was a good idea. I have yet to meet the man who will step up to the plate and bat with the catcher wearing a mask like that!

Okay a jersey question. The fellows who came out to the pub saw the brochure with a few different styles. The basic t shirt (3 button, 50 /50) will cost $500 for 20 units. That is with no names on the back. That adds cost quickly at $15 per. It will have a logo on the front, and 10" numbers on the back.
4x4 has suggested sleevless tshirts.
I have no other suggestions...any other input?
Colour would be wise input at the least...
I am going to start at the top of the list (who signed up first) and work my way down. Yup, hitting up for cash.
League question. Narrowed down leagues that play Sunday to four right now:
1. $1295, JC park, double headers, 22 games, Fences and Umps
2. $1250, Shouldice/Optimist, double headers, 20 games, fences umps
3. $700, forest heights, some single some double, 20 gms, open field
4. $595, forest lawn, dover, some single some double, 20 gms, open field no umps.
Trying to be central. I did not find a league in Ogden that plays Sunday and has room. I am not omnisc...I dont know everything, so as usual, if someone knows something help me out.
All the above leagues require a $125 refundable performance bond, so might as well add that on.
I am going to ask for a $75 committment. We would need to pay half the cost first week of March. Both league and jersey.

Couldn't we just wear wife-beaters and draw the numbers on with mustard and call ourselves "The Whyte Ave Wreckin' Cru".

It isn't a rubecube family reunion.

Hmm.... my post disappeared.
I would vote Jaycee Park or Shouldice/Optimist. Fences and umps!
I can pay my share asap if needed.

For some reason that sounds perfect.

Plus it doesn't have the risk of games being postponed/cancelled due to gunfire, rape, etc that Forest Lawn has.

Color = red (in keeping with our calgarypuck roots) - white or yellow numbering and lettering
Are there T-shirts without buttons?
Names on the back would be good - our user names would be good.
Logo - some variation of the fire-breathing horse - maybe beer suds coming out of the nostrils, instead of flames - if we have a sponsor, they might want something on our uniform.

The cheaper the jerseys the better I think. Stuff like name on the back doesnt matter to me, I just want to go out and have some fun once a week.

My preference. Close to Pete's Pub, where the Flames are undefeated.

I like that option. I also don't care what tghe jersey price is, but would prefer we get our usernames on the back for added coolness. The color should be red, and black with "gold" and white trims.

Believe it or not, that suggestion actually did come up at last nights meeting. The name wasnt quite the same.
Also, if we go with: "Unregistered Sex Offenders" the official team uniform is supposed to be bright orange jumpsuits, and a really elaborate entrance for our catcher.

I would prefer sleeves on my jersey. I haven't got the pipes to be going around with confidence without sleeves. Plus, I'll more than likely have a farmer's tan and look like a doofus out there.

Jerseys with names and numbers can add up. Plus with having league fees and equipment costs (mat, plate etc..) we might need to hold a vote. I like the idea of jerseys with names and numbers but I'm sure t-shirts with our team name is just fine too.

Hey Guys!
I like option 2 - Shouldice/Optimist.
As for jerseys.... I perfer sleeves and number/name doesn't really matter and red is a good colour.

Adding in the responses here with PM's I've recieved, it is so far overwhelming for a cheap, red shirt, short sleeve, and Kokanee League at Optimist/Shouldice. As suggested at the pub maybe we go with no names on the back to keep the cost reasonable, but individuals could put something on the back themselves.
