If we're going to complain about roster construction - I think there is this mentality with Hockey Canada (even with the WJC) that they need to have a team that will win a 7-game series. Marchand-Bennett-Wilson would be a great line for that, but in a series of one-and-dones, eh.
It's the hand we have to play with though, so I think Suzuki's line will pot one, and so will the McDavid-Celebrini combo, because Celebrini has scored in every game, which is wild.

Maybe someone else could shoot it instead? perhaps...
Yeah I was using Theodore as an example because he doesn't have the rep of a big scorer but his shot is very heavy. Harley, Makar, Doughty can get those pucks through too.

Bedard has 7 goals in his last 19 games, at least one of those were empty nets. And in this type of game he's not going to necessarily be a game breaker more than celebrini, McDavid, or MacKinnon. This team Canada roster should be good enough to win.
If anything some of our D choices are more of an issue

Wilson was a baffling choice.
You can't fight, can barely play physical and it's 1 game events.
He doesn't bring any psychological or physical advantage like he can in the NHL.
First, everyone else, including us, spends all the time they're on the bench waiting for that line to get out there and the other team just needs to put everything into surviving those minutes.
Second, those guys end up deferring to each other. Rather than just rushing the puck at the net, MacKinnon waits for McDavid to join the rush. It diminishes them. If you watch the rush they just had, McDavid takes on 5 guys - it doesn't work, but the other 4 guys have time to get set up in the zone and you get a shot from the high slot out of it.
