Damn, I knew there was a better than average chance that Solo or Kerins would get claimed.
I imagine Solo is still a bubble player on the Avs roster. Let's see if he ends up back on waivers at some point. He made it pretty far down the list before being claimed, so there is a chance Flames could claim him back and reassign him to the Wranglers.
Probably bitter sweet for Kuznetsov though as Solo was probably his closest competition.

We shouldn't have waived him, but IMO we are lucky that Solo was claimed and not Kuznetsov yesterday.

Keeping Miromanov up over Solovyov was a bad decision. Would be surprised if Miro plays 20 more games for Calgary, while Solo had potential to be a good third pairing guy going forward
