It might be because I'm too drunk but WTF. This #### is so annoying. First, we hear teams are being told he won't sign with them, then we hear he prefers, what? only Tampa?
At this point I'm prepared to be mightily disappointed with the return. Any team basically knows 100% sure he's not going to sign with them which is a big difference then simply not knowing for sure.
If Tampa doesn't want to pay they can say ok whatever, we will sign him in the offseason.
I was expecting a haul before, but now I'll be happy with a 1st and a b prospect ffs. If we get more I'll be ecstatic.

It might be a rental trade, or at least treated like one.
They should still be able to extract something like a 1st and a prospect for him even under that context.

I am at the point where I don’t think we will get a first round pick for him. I think it will end up being at best a second round pick + 3rd/4th round pick + B-level prospect. Feels like Conroy has little to no leverage in these trades right now. He has to trade him. There’s only a couple teams interested. And those teams have little to no high value picks or prospects.

Does Tampa have the space to give him a real offer? Not sure Tampa makes sense outside of a rental anyway?

Any team would have to make some "decisions" to keep him

My guess is the rental prices are set for the various teams who've asked, probably the teams leaked the last three days.
With that established, also guessing the Flames want to do him right by attempting in finding a trade partner on his list who are interested in extending him.
Whether that works out of not in the next 5 days, the Flames and Hanifin both understand that. It's the type of move that players and agents around the league respect the Flames in doing for the player.

Do we actually think NASA and the free market insurance companies who evaluate risk every day know the most about whether hurricanes are getting worse and whether climate change is real know what they are talking about or do we think that Bob’s “Climate change is a hoax designed to let globalists make money” knows the truth? Think sheeple.

This is why it was so funny when the one poster who was crying about the gifs cited the “high standard of decorum” or whatever excuse they were using to justifying crying about gifs.
This. This is what CP is. All the time. The gifs were a gift in comparison lol.

Before we shut down the thread, I wanted to say two things about Saturday Headlines and Hanifin. First, the Flames and Hanifin are focused on “placeS” where Hanifin would re-sign. So, that suggests Hanifin has more than one place he’d re-sign, and he’s not limited a sign and trade to TB. Second, TB is number one choice, which again implies multiple options. I don’t think the Flames are in as dire of straights after listening myself.

Hanafin has been offered pretty good term and money to stay in Calgary but doesn't want to resign, fair enough. There's only 10 teams he can be traded to and between him and his agent they keep leaking teams that Hanafin will sign a long term contract with even further hampering the teams Conroy can get a good deal with.
If I'm Conroy in like F it. By Wednesday I call all the teams I can trade him to and say what's your best offer and whoever comes with their best BAM Hanafin gets traded whether that's his preferred destination or not.
Conroy needs to be team first at this point not player first and I believe that's how he perceives it
