Markstrom has made enough big saves I’ll give him Connor’s long ranger. I’m excited to see Zad with Weegar in the top 4 and wouldn’t be surprised if they become our top 2 for stretches this season. And carrying over from last season Backlunds line is consistently not giving up bad chances and almost generating the best opportunities. But Ruzicka involved in both goals is also exciting!

I like the "chances" for the flames in that period more than entire games last year.

He still looks a bit cautious with the puck. Simply gave the puck away on a couple of dump ins. Didn't know what to do with the puck when he had it on the PP.
That said, he had several good chances others have generated for him. I expect him to only look better once he settles down a bit.

It is great we are winning 2-1 but my God they have to clean up the turnovers! This team is not winning if they continue to turn over the puck that much.

Solid period. Marky let in a softy, but he absolutely bailed his team out to start the game and allowed them to gain the initial lead. Good to see.
Flames top line didn’t really do anything at even strength though. Huby and Lindy are strawberry jam and anchovies.

I like the Backlund line and I like the Kadri line and I like the Rose line. The Lindholm line? Not so much.
