Palpatine badly wanted to access the WBW but he even needed Ezra's help in the end to get in.
Disney's going to put money in the Rey movie so I doubt they're going to scrub it.
I also have a feeling that we haven't seen the end of Anakin in Ashoka.

I agree they won't retcon it, but I'll believe the Rey movie when I'm seated in the theatre to see it. Any new Star Wars movie announced is like New Mutants. It doesn't exist. (I still haven't seen New Mutants so I refuse to believe it's real)

i'm not sure about that... imdb appears to have the total episode appearances listed for the season for each actor and HC shows only 2 appearances.
ha... who knows... i just noticed that Lars Mikkelsen isn't listed on the ahsoka imdb cast. i guess imdb isn't that reliable!

Et tu direwolf? Et tu?
I'm with Yeah_Baby, consider me highly skeptical about the 'Rey' movie.
And thats good, because Rey is a boring ass character. Just awful.
I was okay with the World Between Worlds thing in Rebels, because at its heart it was still a kids' show and didnt need to be taken so seriously and bothered with Canon and all the rest of that, but I gotta say, re-introducing it in Ahsoka is really pushing it.
I feel like it was a pretty weak idea to begin with but in a cartoon you let that kind of stuff slide.

I fully acknowledge that this is a stupid little thing that shouldn't bother me...
...it REALLY bothers me that Ahsoka is only carrying 1 lightsaber in her flashbacks? And she's holding it upright...
Isn't this a defining characteristic of the character? Dual wield, points down? Am I just missing something?

Maybe she just quit on the second lightsaber? Really the defining characteristic of the character is quitting.

Ahsoka didn't adopt the dual wield style until later on in the Clone Wars so the first flashback is accurate. She is using two sabers in the later Siege of Mandalore flashback.

Yeah, she's using dual wield during the flashback sequences, but during her duel with Anakin in the WBW, she's just using one. In rebels, she fought against an alive Vader with her dual white sabers as well (and lost).

I think depending on stances you can use different forms. Sort of like in Jedi Survivor or Jedi Fallen Order. Typically for 1:1 dueling a single classic standard blade is more solid. With her duel wield stance she typically has one standard saber in her main hand, and her off hand is a smaller hilt/blade.

Look...I think its neat as hell to give Hayden a couple more runouts as Anakin/Vader, but Star Wars has to stop going back to the same old Well.
That thing is Bone Dry.
Again, I dont know if its experience, his performance or his material but hes far, far better than the wooden Anakin in the prequels, but still, its time to move on.

If they use Anakin to springboard into a bunch of novel new galaxy stuff then it will be worth it, if only to give the actor and character a redemptive send-off. Its appropriate given that it's an ahsoka show.
But it's now on never. They're running out of old faces to bring into the shows to boost viewership. It's time to start something new that attracts people because it's good, not because it's hitting nostalgic notes. They need to lay the groundwork for a bigger story/conflict that hasn't already been done that they can build a number of new series and seasons around.
I hope they don't botch whatever is coming in the next 3 episodes

Agreed. I’d love to see a completely new story set hundreds of years in the future with all new characters that don’t have any ties whatsoever to the Skywalker saga. Some of these recent shows have been excellent, but I wish they’d move on from the OG trilogy and all of its related storylines. Start fresh with a totally clean slate.

Again, this is a large part of what made the first couple seasons of The Mandalorian so great, sure it was still in that 'Time Period' but none of the characters were connected with any story-lines that we're familiar with.
You took a Giant Galaxy, plunked some unknown characters into it and told some stories.
Do the same thing in the future so that you're not constrained by the limits of the current stories and characters.

She didn't start dual weilding until later on in the clone wars. It was actually accurate when Ahsoka was dual weilding blue lightsabers in the 2nd flashback on Mandalore.
She only had the 1 green Saber for a while.
The Clone wars series is really really good. I do recommend watching them all.

As for my thoughts on EP.5
Anakin in all Saber duels with Ahsoka was in training mode. Even the end battle as a Sith. It was clear as day. Watch the footwork.
I think Anakin is guiding Ahsoka to the enlightening knowledge of how his fall is so intricately tied to how Sabine will fall and how Ahsoka can correct her own guilt by being there to pull Sabine back once she understands that the attachment to Ezra is the key. Like Anakins attachment to Padme was his, driven to the dark side to save the one he loved.
Anyone else acknowledge the General Organa comment in that episode? Yeah that's right, Leia is flittering around the edges.

IMDB is great for things that have been released, but awful for shows that are still airing.

Early Mandalorian was great for being unique. I recall that as being a promotional point before season 1. Then they had to start paying fan service / backdoor pilot all these existing characters.

That's my biggest gripe with Star Wars that I just had to accept. They chose to make it a small galaxy.
The Clone Wars has an episode where Ahsoka meets Chewbacca, Han Solo's ex girlfriend works for Darth Maul etc. I
