Agreed. I don't give a rats patooey about travel issues, figure it out because this current format makes zero sense.

True. In fairness, I was watching it live, without the benefit of being able to replay it right away.
Dustin was so good last night.

Gotta love the Wranglers heart and Mitch Love has to be darn proud. Fingers crossed they win the next close it out and we get to see a Calder Cup Final here.
If this happens I hope the dome sees 12 to 14 thousand fans.
Go Wranglers

I disagree. Goaltending just needs to be good, not other worldly. At least to have made the playoffs last year. As bad as, everything else was, league average goaltending would have easily put them in post season. Instead the Flames had close to worst in the league. Everyone needs outstanding goaltending if they are going deep.

Going to 7 game series after the first round would surely generate enough revenue to offset the extra travel costs?

There are a lot of teams that aren’t outright owned by an NHL club, I’m sure teams like the Wranglers could make it work, but others like the Chicago Wolves would struggle to foot the bill on an additional charter flights, hotel accommodations and daily per diem for their players and staff.
A lot of these clubs are working on a shoestring budget and gate revenue for one additional home game would not be sufficient to cover the costs involved for two additional road games.

Game 5 tonight!
Texas and Milwaukee also play tonight in the other Division final (Milwaukee is up 2 games to 1).

I’m not trying to put the cart before the horse. But there are some very interesting prospects on Milwaukee that would be fun to watch… Probably the 2nd biggest goalie prospect in Askarov. Tomisino and Evangelista too…The BIG Jankowski…
Fingers crossed the Wranglers can create some more high danger scoring chances on that Coachella defence tonight.

I'm hoping a Rochester - Calgary Finals.
The Sabres have to be the most exciting team to follow with their young talent, both on the team and simmering in the minors. They have become my team in the East.
Speaking of which, I think they would make a good trading partner with the Flames as they may require a couple of veterans (Hanafin, Toffoli, Markstrom?) to push them to the next level, while we need youth.

Without any non-divisional play, it's tough to assess how the Wranglers would fare in a western conference finals.

I find it amusing that Matthew Phillips is still leading both of these teams in PIMs for the playoffs with 15.

To confirm, if I buy the single day pass I can choose between broadcasts right? I don’t have to listen to that awful Calgary girl?

She's a long time CP poster. She's also great IMO.

This is my first time buying so i can't 100% confirm but it does give me an option for home or away broadcast so I assume so.

The other broadcast is worse. If you didn’t know it was Grant Fuhr on the Color commentary, you’d assume the play-by-play guy invited his senile grandfather into the booth.
