This can't be right. The last two Bruin goals were obviously high danger, they were into an empty net. That was all the high danger? I can think of a few more.

I didn't hate Huberdeau passing on the 2 on 1. It was a bad pass, that's what I didn't like.

they had 22 high danger chances though, they didn't lose the game because of one pass that was picked off

It was a bad pass. Not saying it's why they lost.
A better pass, or a good shot and it could have been why they won.

That's just embarassing for Markstrom and Vladar.
3-4-4 record and in some ways thats remarkable with that horrendous of a save percentage.
Think it was -11 GSAA too...so it's like they spotted the other team a 1-0 lead every game.
|
Its just bad luck.

yeah I just think it's being overblown...they had a lot of chances that could have won the game...or a routine save on the first shot

Yeah, that was crazy. That was the most opposing fans I think I've ever seen for a non Canadian opponent.

If the Bruins were awarded only two high dangers chances in that game then I have some serious questions about high dangers chances.
edit: you clarified 5 on 5.

Was thinking tonight that we'd be better off starting games with the goalie on the bench. Play 6 on 5 until the opposition gets their first shot on goal. It literally couldn't be worse than what we've have been subjected to this season.

Biggest disappointment this year is losing Tkachuk . Management ####ed that up. Don't believe we lost him because he's American and wanted the leisure life in Florida. Brady signed long term no problem when Senators offered it. Matthew said Flames never offered it earlier in his career. Having at least Tkachuk on this team alone probably pushes the needle.
Brad can go fly a kite and ownership . Till Edward's dies nothing gets meaningfully done.

Pelletier had an impressive game and seemed to be in on lots of offensive opportunities. He deserved to be out there in OT.

On a more positive note, I watched Pelletier really closely tonight and he's fantastic without the puck. He made great plays all over the ice. His pressure on the forecheck is similar to Coleman.
Weegar was also really good tonight. Seemed like he was a little more aggressive on the offensive side.
Lots of players played well tonight. There is a lot of good in the organization right now.

We really dont know why Tkachuk left, and we may never know.
It could have been a management screwup, a lot of signs point in that direction, but it just as easily could have been a veritable cornucopia of other reasons.
It would be interesting to know if this off-season management was dealt a crappy hand or whether that damage was self-inflicted.
Either way though, that doesnt reflect on the on-ice performance of this group.
On the one hand, I can understand management's claim that this is an under-performing group that 'could' be better than their record suggests, however at the end of the day this is a results-based business and the people in it are judged based on their results.
One can claim that the standings dont accurately reflect the caliber of this team, however, unfortunately, that reflection, however inaccurate it may be, is the only one that counts.
