[News] Flames new reverse retro jersey thread

The new Flames RR 2.0 serves its purpose - something goofy for a few games.

But the true crime is that the Flames made no effort in their "new" 3rd jersey - just pull out their RR 1.0 jersey from a couple of years back. If they had done the 04 design as a new 3rd, it will sell like hotcakes. If they want Blasty as the 3rd jersey logo, fine, put in on the red 04 jersey and it will still look great.

This is just excusing poor design. There are a plethora of options available keeping to the loose and almost non existent rules of Reserve Retro. The Panthers are going with a baby blue jersey, something they didn't use until 2009, hardly that retro.

The horsehead jersey is über popular at the moment and they now have the black one as their official third. Pairing it with a red blasty or even white one would've been incredible, Minnesota flipped their white RR with green ones. They look great. More than one team went with white jerseys as well so you can't claim yellow is the only option.

The 2011 Heritage Classic jersey updated in white and red would've looked cool too. So many options, all better. Reverse Retro allows for a lot of creativity, and it seems the Flames lack it or dont listen.

Ew, Blasty belongs on a black jersey. Putting him on the red 04 jersey would be a disgrace

Those jerseys are based on the horsehead black, it's a natural fit.

Ya let’s not act like “Reverse Retro” even means anything. It’s an alternate jersey. They weren’t boxed in creatively at all

the bigger stripes on the arms and smaller ones on the torso is odd .. but I think that's how the og peds were too ..
