The best two fits I see for Jarnkrok are the following

Mangiapane - Jarnkrok - Toffoli

This puts Calle in a position to score having talented wingers flanking him at Center, might seem odd to play him up but if you give him ‘sheltered’ minutes with these guys they could score boatloads as the proverbial 2A line while Backs and Coleman’s line handles the hard defensive minutes.

Mangiapane - Monahan - Jarnkrok

Mony had decent underlying numbers in his chances with Mangi, slot a strong side righty who can take strong side faceoffs and maybe you recreate what Mony had when Lindholm first came on the scene before he pushed himself into a full time Center spot.

Personally hoping to see

Gaudreau - Lindholm - Tkachuk
Mangiapane - Jarnkrok - Toffoli
Coleman - Backlund - Dube
Lucic - Monahan - Lewis
Ritchie, Richardson

Edit, totally forgot about Monahan after talking at length about him lol

Good point, Treliving probably picks Sutters brain on his days as a GM. It is a great combo to jave working together. You can tell by the recent trade that those 2 are aligned.

Talking about Jarnkrok’s point totals too, he has 26 points in 49 games… but was literally pointless in his first 12 games this year with Seattle.

26 points in his last 37 games… damn near Toffoli numbers before we landed him.

Flames depth is looking really strong right now. Only teams with as much depth would be the Avs and Blues but both have weaker goaltending. Team is setup quite well for this post season.

Jarnkrok should fit like a glove

Plays really good defense, and chips in offense, versatile.

A Sutter type of player IMO

I can't get over how deep this team is!
The Flames have been unreal all season and we just added Toffoli and Jarnkrok! This year feels very special. I fear no team.

Hoping Jarnkrok ends up being Lindholm-lite. Would love to see him used down the middle (Treliving said started his career as a natural C), but he'll probably start on the wing next to Coleman and Backlund and bump Lewis down.

Gaudreau - Lindholm - Tkachuk
Coleman - Backlund - Jarnkrok
Mangiapane - Monahan - Toffoli
Lucic - Dube - Lewis

Hopefully Monahan can get things going playing with Mangiapane and Toffoli for this final stretch.

I do NOT want to get fitted for a glove like that.

Sutter should roll out an all Swede powerplay for giggles.

Sutter might not want to throw him in at centre right off, considering he’s not played the position all year. But the option is nice.

I think he might try him as a RHS on the second power play unit, which lacks one.
