We saw Reva being ready and willing to torture a child.
We saw the fate of the Jedi including a really sad Easter Egg from Clone Wars.
Spoiler!
among the gruesome display of corpses in the fortress besides a Jedi Youngling. We saw the body of Tera Sinube, the old Jedi that helped Ashoka retrieve her stolen light saber
We certainly saw a call back to Jedi Fallen Order
The sets were gorgeous. I loved seeing the Inquisitor Fortress in all of its glory.
We saw Ben as a reflection of Vader in the bacta tank.
Vivian Lyra Blair completely knocks it out of the park as Leia. She even has some of Leia's facial expressions down now.

The episode was fine but did feel a bit to much like filler when there's only two more episodes left in the series. They really should have made this at least an 8 part series if they were going to include something like this.
Also the direction is really starting to bother me as a lot of it is coming off lazy and makes the characters look stupid.
Spoiler!
- There was no reason for Obi-Wan not to wear a stormtrooper uniform to blend in. He literally had access to one as soon as he entered the base. The fact he didn't just created manufactured tension.
- He was literally in the sight-lines of the two stormtroopers in the hallway when he jumped behind the pillar. There's no way they didn't see him.
- How did Tala manage to incapacitate an imperial officer in a control room full of people without anyone hearing or finding the body?
- How did she also take down those storm troopers without anyone else hearing? The Inquisitor and the other imperial officers should have still be in ear range.
- The trench coat disguise was insanely stupid. There's no way that should have worked at all, even if you account for the base being in a bit of chaos.
edit: more annoyances
Spoiler!
- Vader and the Empire now know about Leia, and that Bail has the ability to contact Obi-Wan. Do they expect us to believe that Vader is just going to ignore that and allow them to live a free enough life to help create the Rebel Alliance? Bail and his family should be dead before the beginning of ANH if this is the case.
- Why even cast Hayden Christiansen if they're not going to use him? We've seen his face once and not heard a single line of dialogue. If they're not going to use him in some capacity where he can actually act then why is he here?
- Why did Vader allow Obi-Wan to escape last episode only to threaten Reeva for letting him go?
- The "I let them escape" is just a bit too Batman for me. There was no indication Reeva allowed them to escape on purpose.
- At this point shouldn't they just take Leia back to Alderaan? Who cares if there's a tracker?
I want to like this show a lot, but it feels like it was rushed and not thought out enough.
It feels like half this episode was left on the cutting room floor or that it was reshot last minute.

Well...as far as that goes I think thats the point.
maybe, but he fired a single shot in the movies and acted disgusted. In my opinion it was an important part of his persona that set him apart from other Jedi.

Right. But he doesnt see himself as a Jedi anymore. His connection to the Force is weak...which is why he could hardly move the bauble on the ship.
His using a blaster only reinforces that.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
So the scene I was mostly referencing was the hanger, when they start running for their lives and the blaster fire erupts. He just runs with them firing his blaster and does not take his lightsaber out. The scene before he was fighting the troopers in the hallway… with his lightsaber. So the writers have established he can still wield it, defend with it, and there is no longer a need for discretion because they have been discovered.
If the writers were going for the message you are describing, which I don’t disagree with, then they are failing on the delivery in my opinion.

On that score, we completely agree.
There is going to have to be a helluva payoff coming or this is going to be Boba Fett 2.0

Good episode! Nice to see Obi-Wan's lightsaber skills coming back to him and getting himself back into Jedi mode. That was fun to watch.
I feel like there's no way they can wrap all of this up in the final two episodes though. I predict they're gonna leave us on a massive cliffhanger and we'll end up having to wait another year or so for a 2nd season to finish the story.

I dont know. It seems like they might be really edging themselves out of time between when this is supposed to take place and A New Hope.

Well that one was just bad. Brutal acting, comically bad action. Stop using kid actors, and stop wasting Ewan McGregor. Leia made no reference to knowing Ben in her initial message at the start of A New Hope, why are they insisting on this storyline? This Third Sister is so stale as an actor that it's just killing any of the scenes she's in too. And last episode was so good, what a shame.

Star Wars fans are just the worst.

This 3.6 roentgen level of made for tv Star Wars would be perfectly acceptable if we didn’t already have the Mandalorian to prove they can reach a much higher tier. Ben and Leia are carrying this thing like McDrai.
Reva was alright in clearly showing she doesn’t have the stomach to be a real bad guy, though the tracker thing is super dumb if nobody else knows they’re supposed to go free.
I liked Tala improvising her way through the infiltration, but clearly coordinating it with another guy right next to you is silly. Also beating up an officer behind some equipment while the same technician is still sitting there. Lots of little duh moments in this one.

That trench coat part was hilariously ridiculous. The tension in the scene is building and the imperial guards are quickly passing back and forth looking for them. Then from across the hanger here comes Obi-Wan in a comically large trench coat with a giant mass sticking out to one side. They walk all the way across the crowded hanger before finally being spotted by Reva. Really? It's not like the whole hanger had a group of people meandering around in trench coats and they had to find Obi-Wan in the sea of tan, everyone is in uniform! Not one of them turned and thought "wait a minute, that's not an imperial issue trench coat...".
Holy crap was that ever bad. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when, whatever that was, was pitched.
