The west being good is good for everyone

The nfl stacks the early sunday schedule so much so that theres usually only 3 or 4 games in the afternoon, usually made up of afc and nfc west. Every west team outside seattle, and maybe them if they dont start drew lock, is going to be fun to watch at the very least

Its alright, I hate teams too just be honest about it. Raiders have a new coach and GM...division is the best in the NFL but they have improved and aren't done yet.
Not really. I'm being objective about who they are as a team. They were 21st in DVOA, 23rd in FPI, and 23rd in point differential. That is by definition a below-average team.

The Rams and Matthew Stafford have finalized a four-year, $160 million extension that includes $135 million guaranteed that should allow the veteran quarterback to finish his career in Los Angeles, sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter.

After creating all that room to acquire Watson and failing to do so, Saints are now top 10 in open cap space lol

I don't think any one involved would have any surprise about that timeline in the upcoming 2 years either.

It’s still 135 guaranteed. That’s a massive contract.

I don't know if it makes a huge difference...CBS and Fox always rotate a game of the week for that late Afternoon slot. More often than not it's the second best matchup of the week that's not the Sunday Night game. Might see ESPN look to pick up more of these teams for Monday Night games. For those who still have a standard Canadian TV package...there will be a lot of suffering thru bloody Seahawks games. Instead of the Raiders and Chargers game...they'll show the Seahawks and Jets. It will suck.

Stafford retiring at age 36 would be pretty unprecedented in recent history given his ability and stature.

Wouldn't be a total shocker though given his young family and wife having a brain tumor removed only a couple of years ago.

I like Ryan a lot better than Wentz. He should help keep them in the thick of things in that division.

so the Colts go from Wentz to Ryan and get a 3rd rounder (which could become a 2nd) plus a slight upgrade in the 2nd round (from 47 to 42) on top. GM masterclass. Doesn't negate their trade for Wentz in the first place, but still a very nice outcome for them.

After missing out on Watson, Saints sign Jameis Winston to a 2 year deal with a $28 million base, and $21 million guaranteed, according to Rapaport.

Winston seems to be the only QB in the sweepstakes who didn't seem to feel like he got cheated on when his (assumed) team went all-in for Watson.

EDIT: beaten to it by seconds

Jimmy G is pretty much down to Carolina or backup next year. QB carousel really got settled in basically a week.

Colts situation pretty similar to Rams last year with Stafford. My understanding is they have a great defence and running game mostly on rookie contracts so they probably think their best window to win is the next two years. Matt has literally never had a great defence in 15 years and has mostly had a mediocre o-line so it’ll be interesting to see what he can do there.
