Lewis out in Q1! Maybe he should have retired…
Horner will be giddy and pitching a tent all weekend.

Toto and Lewis should be banned at any sea park with dolphins in it!

Yikes! Schumacher with a huge crash. Not good if they still haven't shown a shot of it or a replay after 5 mins.
Ambulance on the scene, still in the car but talking to the medics. Still no close up shots.

Street circuits like this shouldn’t be a thing. It’s too fast and dangerous.

Never good when they don't even show replays. Hope he's okay. Can't believe the car split in 2. Although I think that was a design thing stemming from the Grosjean incident.

McLaren looks like they've worked out their issue. Turning in some proper qualifying times. Not close to the top.of the table but good enough.for points.

Woooo Checo!
Man, it's gonna be a 2 horse race this year with Ferrari and RBR. They're both so fast. Like a full level above everybody else.
Alpine looking strong too. I feel pretty confident we can slap them in a battle for P3 in the constructors championship with the Mercs. I dont think the Mercs are gonna sort it out this year to get back into the fight at the top.
Still gonna be an interesting year to see who can take the biggest strides after the summer break but I think now we can see who the consistent top ten racers are gonna be.

Hamilton totally out qualified by Russell. I watched the side by side in car lap comparison between LH and GR, it seems Hamilton has lost an edge for sure. He is no longer willing to go to the limit like his young team mate. I guess he’s getting too old.

Steiner was saying he didn't think they could even get another car up and running in time anyways. And he preferred that Schumi miss the race. This was during the live interview where he watched the accident replay while doing said interview and reacting real time to seeing it.

LOL. Hamilton haters are hilarious. He finished P3 last race. Once bad qualy session doesn't say anything.

Hey, even the race media are saying the same thing. And we all know they're the absolute biggest Hamilton boosters out there.

Fair but I won’t rule out Hamilton until he’s second rate for a whole season.
Maybe he’s lost his edge or that burning desire but it seems just as likely that he’s struggling with the set up of the car. Sometimes it hurts some drivers more than others.
I still believe Merc, and most other teams for that matter, will figure out the porpoising/car setup and we could have a wildly different second half of the season. 2010 was like that.

I'm no Hamilton fan, but to say "he is no longer willing to go to the limit" is a terrible take.

The lap comparison replay they did between Hamilton and Russell was a compelling argument for that take.
Personally I don't think Hamiltons anywhere close to trusting the car enough throw it around like Russell did.
Hamilton only as good as his car is. He's so fine tuned to it that if it's off, he's off.

In unrelated good news. Looks like they did a good job fixing COTA. Resurfaced from turn 2 to turn 11. NASCAR truck looked like they had a ton of grip and the track was very smooth.
