The 3rd power play unit scored
I don’t know if other teams even have a 3rd unit

Honestly, score flatters the Oilers. That's a bad hockey team up north.

that's exactly what happened against Florida the other night. You score 1 or 2 and they lose all focus.
That team is soooo fragile right now, and I hope the Flames curbstomp them to thoroughly embarrass them. It's been too long since we made their fans weep.

Good period for the Flames! Koskinen played himself a pretty good period of hockey there.
I’d expect the Oilers to come out flying in the 2nd period - Flames have to be ready!

Koskinen easily the best Oiler so far tonight. CHED should be fun tonight.

Could easily be 4 or 5 nothing. Monahan, Gaudreau, Mangiapane and Tkachuk all had near goals.

Koskinen is the only reason is not 4-0.
If the flames win, everyone is still going to blame Koskinen.

Solid period by the good guys. Oilers came out hard in the first couple of shifts as expected, but the Flames matched it and gradually took over the period. PP was much better on the 2nd try when they started shooting the puck.
Get ready for the Oilers to double-shift the wonder twins in the 2nd. They'll try to go all out on the offence now, which should result in plenty of juicy Oiler turnovers that the Flames can hopefully pounce on.

You couldn't ask for much more from Kosk.
Stopped an almost impossible one. Screened on the PPG.

FFS Koskinen was not their problem in that period

Thought the Flames were chasing it a bit early, didn’t look very sharp with a lot of missed and bobbled passes. But they didn’t give up much, and eventually found the scoresheet on a great play by Lindholm and Chucky.
After Monahan made a good rush to draw the penalty, getting a PP goal to end the period was huge, and PP2 delivered.
Let’s keep it going boys!

If only the Flames could have declined the first intermission, the Oilers completely folded after the second goal. The break will give them a chance to regroup unfortunately. However there's not much leadership in their dressing room so should be okay.

Zadorov earns his pay for the year with that hit.
Feels like a decade since having a legit hard hitting defenseman to keep teams honest. Just a solid clean hit.

Okay . Good to see it's 2 zip.
But....let's play our game. This track meet crap against the oil proves nothing IMO
Hopefully Sutter says it's time to shut them the F down for the rest of the game.
Tippets gonna have em play full on boring TRAP hockey to try and get them back in this and we don't need to blow it up by 2 with 40 left.

Koskinen played great that period you freaking morons. That is just a bad hockey team that is lucky to be only down 2. This is why I can't wait for cable sports to die out. Talking heads are done. Give me a different experience please.

Goaltending is not the “weakest link” on this Oilers team. It really isn’t.
