Definitely, he has done some good things. To be fair I don't think Brad would be in this situation without Sutter. At the end of the day what matters is the organization seems to have found some chemistry.

Singh was great. Lots of excitement in his voice.
I don't mind Campbell at all. I don't really find her all that different than any other colour person.

Like you, I have been a D. Sutter advocate for a few years now. I remember very well his low-scoring, hard-working, relentless teams. When is the last time we saw such complete efforts from every single player?

I get it was a tricky situation where he was too good for junior and not eligible for the AHL after he was drafted, but probably not ready for the NHL either.

hey Rangers, can we interest you in a second round pick for this "bust"?

Agreed x 1000. Really thought Valimaki was much more useful (and less frightening) back there. Would like to know the rationale in sitting him.

I don't mind Singh, he's gotten better over time, but still needs time to hone his craft. Cassie however I just don't like her takes and she seems shoe horned into the role.
I'd love to see the duo get a Leafs/Habs game and see what the fan reaction is to that.

Good not to get too high or too low but the teams looks exponentially more cohesive and driven than a year ago. And to not be missing Gio at all.
I would love for it to solve its L4 issues (yes I know Richardson scored) and give Monahan a decent wing to make L3/4 more interchangeable; and I'd also like to see the end of the Zadorov experiment (he's gone from awful to just kind of not great). But this is a really united looking team, all on the same page.
I'd say the Dallas game so far is the only one they didn't outright deserve to win. Considering how Flames teams tend to start, it's ok to be genuinely hopeful.

Cassie, in my opinion, has two issues:
1. Her cadence/delivery. It just isn’t very good. She stumbles through her words a lot and her tone just falls flat for the role.
2. Because of her husband I feel like she tries too hard not to appear biased towards the Flames. I don’t need a Wills-esque Homer but given the Oilers and Leafs drivel we have to listen to every Saturday it would be nice if we had someone who did that for the Flames too.
She’s knowledgeable and knows the game, and she comes off much better as an interviewer or a panel member. She just doesn’t have the skill set for colour commentary. Very few people do.
Singh gets better every time I hear him. I have no issues with the way he calls the game.

Might be as simple as "we'll need both guys to be ready if there's a top 4 injury, and it's fundamentally easier to shelter Zadorov at home".
I'm expecting lots of Valimaki on the road and Zadorov at home.
Poor Stone.

I have a different reaction to Cassie. I don’t care about the bias thing, not something I notice.
And I like her voice and delivery. But it is what she says. Often just a rehash of what just happened vs any attempt at insight or explanation as to the why. And ever since someone pointed out the “if you will”, I can’t stop hearing it.

Left the teams two best players and biggest stars in a situation where they have a substantial risk of leaving for very little return. All part of the master plan I guess. He built a roster of players for a coach that he didn't even know he was going to hire. I'd say that's pure dumb luck and good fortune, not real gm skill.

Got it.
When things go wrong it's all Treliving's fault.
When things go right it's Sutter, oh and when things went right without Sutter it was lightning in a bottle.
Must be tough to hold all that together, especially after an entertaining win.
