Well I had my hockey draft tonight. I picked up the whole top line and Markstrom. If they let me down, they let me down more ways than one. Mediocrity here I come!

Flames won and its didn't break a shut out so why not
Taking down an king Oilers record would be amazing...especially since the goalies are twice the size

Fell asleep during the game when the flames were up 3. Woke up when it was 3-1, then fell back asleep and woke up with 9 mins left in the 3rd. Was entertained till the end.
So thanks flames for letting me nap, keeping me entertained briefly and then also making the wife happy!

Re-watching the game this morning and Tom Wilson's trip/knee on Mangiapane is very dirty. He gets away with so much....

Really?
I hate the guy, but I tend to agree that it really looked like he was just trying to stay onside on that particular play.

To me it looked like he looked up and saw Mangiapane going around him and reached out with his knee. He was already onside and there was no real reason for that extra little reach. It's Tom Wilson, he doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt with his history.

Yep I’m with Iginla’s take, just knowing who Tom Wilson is is enough to convince me there was intent with that play, as soon as he looks up and sees Mange’s path he extends his knee a little further out; it was hilarious to me he ended up getting the worst of it all too.

On first watch I thought the Wilson Mangiapane collision was accidental but on the replay it sure looks like Wilson notices Mangiapane coming in and it wasn't a surprised reaction like oh #### we are about to collide. Of course it happens very fast but I do not give Wilson the benefit of the doubt on that play.
I trust in Sutter's take on the goal Kylington gave up. It was a bad read. He didn't read that he didn't have help from the forwards and the opposite side was overloaded so no help coming from his partner. I am sure the line changes played into the overload but with two guys coming up the ice like that he should have played it as a 2 on 1. Keep the puck carrier to the outside while maintaining your gap and lane to the net. It's Kylington's weakest points but a pretty crucial one for D men. If that play happens and his partner is able to slide over and fill the lane then yes ride the puck carrier out. I think he stays in the lineup as a play like that is hard to practice so so game experience is what he needs. Adjust to the pace and develop a calmness in his game. Still comes across as to frantic in everything that he does.
Overall I would say the Flames have played pretty well with some unlucky bounces and couple of uninspired periods here and there. I think they have carried the majority of the play in all four games. Looks promising but they will struggle with lack of top end talent or game changing talent. Oilers can hang around all game and break it open on one or two plays. Flames do not have that luxury so they have to out work and be very disciplined in their structure to win.
Fix the lines. Hate Ritchie with Managiapane.

Just finished watching the game.
- awesome game for Lindholm
- bad play by OV on the OT goal to let Lindholm blow by him
- Johnny is all about Sutter hockey. Making really smart plays and solid defensively, though he did get away from it I thought in the second, but re-adjusted in the 3rd
- good game by Vladar
- Mangiapane almost scored in OT... Guy makes things happen when he's on the ice and is solid defensively
- the Dube line isn't working though... Thinking once Monahan is feeling better, Sutter will put Monahan with Mangiapane
- Monahan is playing really well defensively... Hopefully he finds his scoring touch again soon
- Kylington played well
- Flames look much more consistent under Sutter and will win most games if they get decent goaltending

Why not Coleman. Ritchie should be the 14th forward!
