I wasn't watching the sharks particularly closely, but it was obvious they weren't taking the game particularly seriously. Lots of simple mistakes. It was actually a bad game for them structurally.

They aren't exactly playing for their jobs though. They know that their spots in the opening day line-up are set. This game was just an up-tempo practice for them.

Saw only the third period.
Rieder looked like he wants a job; worked hard and made some pretty decent plays. Shilly looked....awful. Hesitant and poor judgment on passes and exits.
Andersson looked decent and speedy.
Zagidulin was shaky throughout and got lit up by being too slow. That's OK..he'll learn. Seemed to calm down, eventually, which is a good sign.
