This reminds me of Flames Canucks in Calgary. Flames dominant in play, then relax their game. Gillies comes in and lets in softies. Flames lose.

He's gotta hug the post or come out a bit, can't leave some space there then try to hug it after the shot is taken from that angle. That's stuff that Smith was doing last year.

Gillies was almost-certainly going to be on waivers in the morning no matter what, but there's no doubt now.

His one-way contract likely means he's not tradeable.
