Mike Smith got the first star of the game for giving the other team false hope.

The Dome was crazy in the last minute. You could feel that Monahan goal
Was coming. Crowd was pretty vocal the whole game. Giving it to the refs and the mock cheer is Smith was the loudest I’ve ever heard for a Flames goaltender in ten years of being a season ticket holder. Almost felt bad for him given his recent performance, but those goals are just going in way too much.

I was at the game. Smith did raise his arm to acknowledge the cheer.

Just came back from the game. Lost my voice from cheering so much. Lol on the people who left with 2 minutes left in the game. Man I love this team!

The Dome always gets a bad rap in the regular season, and rightfully so more often than not. But when the Flames are winning, it can be a damn fun place. During playoff games in particular, that building is rockin' and arguably one of the louder rinks in the league.

Some of you are kidding yourselves if you think Smith had been playing amazing recently
Flames have been absolutely dominating in most or all of these wins...he didn't steal one single game.
He played better...like average NHLer maybe

Peters in his post game said Andersson has a bomb and he'll look to use it in more situations. I would love to see him on the 2nd unit.

Gaudreau's 13th goal the game winner. Fitting.

Ask the Ducks...they said Calgary was louder than Winnepeg in the playoffs a couple years back

Really. Coach seemed pretty straight up about it. When it happens to other players (even on other teams) do you question it each time?

They play man to man in OT. Gio's guy was the original puck carrier. Provorov(?) was Monahan's guy and Mony got caught flat-footed. Wasn't Gio's fault.
But Mony TOTALLY redeemed himself when he got the puck in the corner and won the race up the ice to turn it into an odd-man rush.
