In this case you have the NDP promoting increasing spending without supporting with increased revenue and the Liberals running on their record. It is not acceptable to run deficits in growing economic times.

Neither of those are acceptable options.

Then you have Ford cutting taxes without having a plan to pay for it

Not an acceptable option.

I agree that the what are you going to do vote for the gay baby killers tact of the right is widely used an effective.

This is not the case with this years ontario election.

It looks like she's going to be 0-3 in provincial elections, in the last election she ran against a weak conservative and Wynne who was already hated and she bombed the campaign. This election she's running against Rob Ford who hasn't even released a platform and she's probably going to watch the Conservatives win a majority government.

Yeah, she's terrific.

Yes, in multiple areas. This new system has been a nightmare.

In actuality she is probably going to win the popular vote but lose the election because our whole seat winning system is ridiculously broken. An Ontario election really isn't a provincial election, it is a GTA election.

The last poll I saw was 39 to 36 for the conservatives, so we'll have to see on that one.

Frankly Horwath has been a poor leader, she had her biggest opportunity here and she might not beat a party with a cartoon character leader with no platform.

I would expect that the party is pretty much going to shoot her into the sun at the next convention.

This is making the rounds amongst my Ontario friends:

I've mostly ignored it aside from noting Ford was running and thinking how utterly heinous that choice is. Good luck, Ontario. Sounds like y'all gonna need it.

That is pretty much how Western Canada feels during any federal election...

You think said tactics are reserved for conservatives? Did Al Franken tell you that?

Wow, I know the polls just closed, but some projections are for zero Liberal seats with a top end of two. That’s incredible.

What can I say? The populist schtick is aimed at rubes, and that's what most people are.

Ford and his pals are going to sell every asset Ontario has and rob all of us blind, and they'll do so to thunderous applause.
