Wow, whoever texted that back to Kelly just admitted that the NHL didn't even factor in one of their own ****ing rules to their ruling. Embarrassing.

Puck wasn't covered, so it was still fair game.

It's like they read one rule and then ignored all the others.

Jam sure, but news to me that you can push him into the net

Flames pretty sloppy defensively over the last couple of shifts.

I especially like how they said they are not in a position to reverse the refs call, except that's exactly what they did lmao. They can't even pass the blame properly. Frickin idiots

Brown is crappy. Loved him against the Canucks though.

Except the puck being loose or not has ZERO barring on whether you can push the goaltenders pad into the net to score.

dumbest thing i've heard from the NHL in a long while...

is it possible that the puck was loose and not covered because Elliot's freaking pad was being jammed into the net?!

I can see the reasoning from the league. The puck was loose, it was bouncing in the replay, he hadn't covered it, no whistle. Sucks but I can see it.

Flames need a bigger body if they want to compete with the Kings and the bigger teams in the league.

They're being dominated on the boards.

Well that resembles something I stepped in this one time in a dairy farmer's field.

Yeah, jam/push, that's what I meant. It's crazy that Elliott was basically sideways in his net at the end of that play. I don't think he positioned himself like that. Interesting the NHL made that call. And by interesting I mean terrible.

Brodie has played 400 NHL games. That's a little surprising.
