Marco is pissed and I can't blame him. Let him get his complete game.

What a massive performance by Estrada.
Not only shuts down the Rangers and their fans, but enables the Jays to save the big relievers and have no temptation to use the injured Osuna.
Playoff Estrada is unreal.

Is it just me, or does it really look like Osuna is piling on the weight? Maybe that's part of the reason he's been struggling lately.

I get pulling Estrada once the shutout was done.
No point in keeping him out there except for the personal stats. Also gives a few Rangers hitters an extra look at him which could benefit those hitters if they run up against him again this series.
Wasting Tepera is harmless.

What a performance by Estrada. I remember thinking there was no way he could repeat his performance from last season, all year this year. Guess he is the real deal.

@Wilnerness590
In four playoff starts as a #Bluejays, Marco Estrada has thrown 27 2/3 innings and issued one walk. #Jays
In four playoff starts as a Jay, Marco Estrada has an ERA of 1.95 and a WHIP of 0.69.
Edit: numbers slightly off, corrected.

Russel Martin is such a stud, probably my favorite Jay. Sucks I had to miss this game, glad they got the win.

This game has to be a massive confidence booster for the Jays. Given the struggles of September and the nail biter WC game, it has to be a relief that the bats finally came alive.
Estrada was brilliant and really sets the tone for this series. If the other starters can put up similar performances, this could be a memorable series.

Estrada was amazing today. He consistently threw first pitch stirkes and using his curveball fairly effectively as well. Thought Donaldson was as locked in as I have seen in a long time, haven't seen him have a game like that since August.
Nice to have a laugher and to shut those stupid Rangers fans up.

Today the jays played right but who knows of this will be an exception or a norm. The starting pitching this year will be there. Only question is batting and the relievers.

Jays bats go in surges both ways. Looks like they woke up the last game and a half, and hopefully this surge should be enough to get them through tomorrow and Sunday potentially Monday.
Big thanks to the the schedule makers for the afternoon game, for both Beltre losing Donaldson's liner in the sun to keep that inning going, then of course the CF losing it in the sun and/or alligator-arming it when he lost sense of where the wall was later that inning on Tulo's fly ball. That's a catch and it's obviously a totally different ball game.
Can't be said enough about Estrada. Completely clutch.
Jays in driver's seat now in the short series.

That kind of start by estrada sets the tone for the whole series. Doesn't burn anyone else's arm. Shuts the team down. Unreal stuff.
98 pitches, 72 strikes. Yowza

What a performance by Estrada. Nice to see the bats come alive and hopefully they can keep that confidence going especially JD. Hopefully Happ can have a similar performance tomorrow.

That stat of Estrada's of pitching 27 2/3 and allowing only one walk in 4 playoff games is just crazy.
So glad to be off of work tomorrow, hope to see more of the same. Pretty nice the team can roll out a pitcher like Happ tomorrow after what we saw today. Things looking good so far.
