Tough to blow it but showed some life. Few bad calls, few brain farts but otherwise looked competitive in a West division where the supposed leaders look very average. Finishing .500 would've been my goal but playoffs could be doable based on some premature evaluations.

Fun fact: I hate your crappy franchise as well.

Is Moniz on the way out? Saskatchewan trades a neg list player (QB BJ Daniels) to Hamilton for QB Jake Waters.

I agree last night's games were very entertaining. Curious what others here think about the CFL overtime format versus the NFL format. If I recall correctly, an NFL game cannot end in a tie and if the first team on offence scores a TD the game is over.

And I agree with an earlier comment that the CFL needs to find a way to penalize coaches who throw frivolous challenge flags.

Nfl games are 15 minutes then a tie. Does happen occasionally.

They are td on first possession is a win, thereafter it is first score of any kind.

I don't see any problem with CFL overtime. I find it more exciting than the NFL overtime.

As for penalizing the coaches, I agree especially the ones who threw a challenge flag when they are OUT of it. Penalize the team 20 yards that will make the coaches like Rick Campbell think twice about trying to pretend he didn't know they are out of challenges.

Saskatchewan are trying to collect as many QBs as they can. But I think you are right, Moniz might be on his way out. 2 fumbles in short yard gamble already and CFL is only in 3rd week. He won't be able to unseat Darian Durant anyways so I can see Chris Jones thinking he doesn't have any use for him.

Yeah I don't mind the CFL overtime format either. Seems to put the emphasis on offensive plays more than defensive strategy - which makes sense in OT.

Jones/Murphy sure are busy continuing to address deficiencies they see in their roster. Just what they needed too a big body in the middle with Jonathan Williams likely gone for the yr with a leg injury. Unless he retires before reporting to Regina. LOL

Let's go with the football version of the shootout. Just a QB, a receiver and a defensive back. Each team goes three times to see how many TDs you score. If it's tied after three you keep going until one team scores and the other doesn't. If it's good enough for hockey.
