I don't get it. The NDP were blocking the Whip with full knowledge that they were impeding his progress. Why? Just to be jerks? Trudeau had enough and so he led the guy through the silliness. What should he have done? Sit there and watch the blockade game? He's the leader of our country. I think he was showing leadership right there. I would have done the same thing. He didn't yank the guy's arm off. His intention (I think), was to show his displeasure with the immaturity of those folks and to get on with things. No problem at all with what Trudeau did there. I'm not sure he should have apologized for his actions.

Can we please start doing recall votes for all the NDP MPs involved. PLEASE? Trudeau has now apologized three times officially and ten times unofficially to the press for what was an elbow graze and a euro style football dive from Brosseau.
NDP MP cries of indignation are now pushing the house towards formal sanctions and punishment for Trudeau that is garnering international attention. This is turning into an international embarrassment for Canadian politics. Really! Those MPs need to grow up. How about actually doing something useful with my tax dollars rather than create political drama.
Yah, this is just getting embarrassing for all involved. What more do the NDP want from Trudeau? Guy has apologized. Accept it gracefully and move the eff on. The NDP is really looking petty by not letting this go.
It looks silly internationally. With the type of apology the NDP are wanting, I think it would have been better for everyone involved had Trudeau slugged Mulcair and is apologizing for that instead.
However the pro-Liberal crowd has resorted to marginalizing the incident and victim blaming.
I don't think I've been called pro-Liberal in my life, but I think that Trudeau comes off looking the least terrible in all this. That's how inept the NDP are. This was a gold mine for them, and they screwed even this up.

He is the leader of the country but it isn't his job or duty to control or maintain order in Parliament. Those roles are the responsibility of the Speaker.

As this has progressed, I have moved inexorably towards the view that all NDP MPs involved should be immediately required to submit to a people's elbow.

My cousin and friends in Hong Kong commented that "Canadian politicians have razor thin skin", that they "got more trouble trying to fit into the subway car during rush hour" every day from men and women, than Brosseau got from Trudeau and "This is why Canadian taxes are so high"

Thank Christ we didn't end up with the NDP in power as it appeared we might for a half sec last election. Beyond their policies not being that great, they appear to have Trump-levels of temperament.

I agree with what some posters said earlier. I think the whole "I'm going to take the lead and go forcefully grab this guy out of this blockade" thing is way more of a bad look than bumping into someone.
It's like he's trying to show leadership but it's forced.

I'm guessing that the NDP felt it was the only way to call attention to the motion that the Liberals wanted passed which would basically allow the Liberals to cut off all debate in the house of commons whenever the Liberals chose.
Nobody came out looking good in this, but Trudeau storming across the floor swearing and manhandling people makes him look pretty immature.
But I agree that the NDP are really going to milk this.
But the motion to strangle and cut off debate is essentially to me a terrible motion, and similar to what Harper tried to do and everyone complained about.
