So far so good for the Penguins with Fleury in net.

1-0 Pittsburgh at the end of one.

Wow, Pens snatch a 1-0 lead with 0.7 seconds left in the period. Dumb pinch by Stralman, Kunitz gets the puck past him, great work by Rust to fend off Hedman and Dumoulin with a smart follow up and shot.

Harsh on Tampa to behind as they'd had the better of the period, but switched off late on.

The Penguins rush up the ice in the dying seconds of the first period, Dumoulin scores off a Rust rebound with a second left in the period and it is 1-0 Pittsburgh. The shots are 8-5 in favour of the Penguins.

That Sportsnet World Cup ad about "who owns hockey?" is so stupid. You can't push that story when there's a Under 23 team as well as a Team European Leftovers...

OMG, I don't like the U23 concept either, but let it go. How would you have them market the tournament?

Sounds like Putin's attempt to ingratiate himself with the Canadian public worked, on one Canadian at least.

He already did that a couple years ago.

I guess it's hard to shake a reputation once you've got it.

Man, NBC just showed some of the big hits Drouin has taken in the playoffs... I wonder if this is something he needs to be concerned about? Better keep your head up... every hit has been with him looking at the puck in his feet

I think he means that 2 seasons ago, he had a .915% in 13 play off games and then last year, he had .927% in 5 play off games.

So his goaltending has been fine in the last 2 play off runs.

Really nice shot but I didn't like that first goal as Fleury made himself small leaving the top corner open. If the Penguins lose this game it reflects badly on the head coach for changing goaltenders when Murray had taken the team this far and Fleury hasn't played for over a month.

Tampa shooting themselves in the foot in the last minute of both periods. Dear me.

That is unreal (bad luck) with Kunitz's go-ahead-goal and add on Hornqvist's goal which came just 90 seconds into the second period.

The Penguins out shot the Lightning in the second period 13-9 and it is 21-13 for shots on goal in favour of Pittsburgh after forty minutes.

Oh wow, hits the post, goes across the goal line and out the other side. Lucky break for the Pens.
