With all the playoff history that the Flames and Sharks have, it is impossible for me to cheer for SJ, and very difficult for me also to fathom how anyone else can do so.
I hope they never win another game.

Flames vs Sharks games are my favorite games because they are ALWAYS exciting.
Plus they don't really have any ######s on the team. Couture, Pavelski, Big Joe, Burns, Marleau. All good vets you would take on your team any day and are easy to cheer for. They also have a great fan base.
Since 2000, they have been 1st or 2nd in our division 11/15 times.

I've always had a soft spot for them.
I admire the fan base of the Sharks as well. It's one of the best non-traditional markets in hockey. The same could be said for Tampa Bay in the east.
I tend to like the Sharks when they are facing the Canucks in the playoffs. Otherwise, yes, I do sort of see the Sharks as rivals as well.

These two, obviously. Say what you want but they definitely deserve cups before retiring. To me the Ducks and Kings are the enemy. I have always been mostly neutral towards the Sharks, especially these two
With that said, I don't really care who wins the series. I would love to see Weber hand the Cup off to Fisher

The Sharks and Kings are the enemy. The heartbreaking OT series losses to the Sharks in 1995 and the Kings in 1990. The Ducks are secondary.

I respect the Sharks because since the last time they beat us in the playoffs, they've only been humbled one way or another nine years straighg. They, like the Capitals, have had one of the best to ever play the sport in Thornton and nothing to show for it. I'll root for an elite vet like Thornton, Iginla, or even the Sedins if they leave Canada (or Join Calgary) - anytime. They've paid their dues and I feel no shame rooting for them at this point. I never hated them like I hated Van, and hate Anaheim now.
