Gio-Brodie
Wotherspoon-Hamilton
Jokipakka-Engelland
Engelland really among the least of our worries imo, but I like this

Flames don't even suck enough to win at sucking. Toronto and Edmonton have the pick of the draft on lock.

Flames are gonna pick 6.

Not able to watch or tune into the radio.

Is this effort a function of a popular guy in the room finally leaving?

or otherwise a result of the stress of deadline day being off certain players and they've checked out?

Gaudreau can't be happy with this in front of his home team...

Ugh... I am going to stop watching games where Hiller gets the start in net. The team has no confidence in front of him, and I don't blame them.

Mostly the same thing we've watched all season. Bad defensive coverage and bad goaltending.

I just remember the debate - do they start Kipper in the first or second game, because the backup was usually not good. So, no, he didn't regularly play back to backs.

Maybe you can prove me wrong, but I doubt it.

2005-2006:
Kipper started both games in 6/10 back-to-backs series.

2006-2007:
Kipper started both in 5/11 series.

2007-2008:
Kipper started both in 7/10 series.

2008-2009:
Kipper started both in 9/14 series.

And I give up checking the following years but it happened a shocking number of times.

Edit: Added one more year.

Not sure you can reduce it to either of those things.

IMO some bad defensive coverage combined with some nice passing by Philly is why we're down 4-1. Giroux and Schenn have been good.

I'd much rather see Nakladal up for good

I wouldn't have confidence if I was Hiller tonight. The Flames defence has been sieve-like. Sure he looks nervous but I think Ramo or Ortio let in 4 as well.

I'm not gonna go back and search his career, but I remember him playing back to back quite frequently.

Edit: nvm AC answered

Not sure if you noticed, but they gave up a 1-0 lead against the Islanders and 4-2 lead against the Senators with Ortio in goal. Hiller has nothing to do with that horror show tonight, the guys out there tonight shouldn't get absolved from blame for what has been a shameful effort, truly shameful.

Can't even get excited about a high draft pick because we haven't earned it, we've gotten it through our poor play. 2 years ago it was acceptable, not now.

Always liked B. Schenn as a person and now liking him more as a scorer too!

This. Typical Hiller performance sporting a .818 SV%. Guy is just poo.

Looks like it happened more than I thought. But it was still the exception most years. And I just looked, and he did poorly in back to backs, so it wasn't a good idea. For example, in 2008, he had the most, and was 2-7.

Yeah, no blaming Hiller tonight - this one is on the D.

Also, let's give the other team some credit once in a while. Giroux always plays well against the Flames, and he and his line are feeling it tonight.
