Just checked the thread for the U-23 team and they're actually pretty level headed about it. At least the ones posting in that thread. Defending the Flames over some other players even.

You have a strange fixation with Taylor Hall. He will not be missed.

Can't argue with the forwards at all
Other than the fact that the best LWer in hockey has been, once again, inexplicably omitted from the list!

Outside of the logo those are pretty nice - think the placement of the 3 stripes was well done and really like the Maple Leaf on the bottom half of the sleeve.
Can somebody with good photoshop skills mock that up with the traditional hockey Canada logo

Vlasic is the better defender. Burns is like Karlsson, a rover back there.

It would be perfect with the Hockey Canada logo, IMO.
Still a nice jersey, but it could be better.

Ha, yeah I see how it looks. I'm just wanting the U23 team to be as stacked as possible, since it's the team I'll be cheering for.

Do have to say after seeing these jersey designs the rebranding to ADIDAS has me pretty optimistic. They did a really good job on these all the way around.

Solid, but un-exciting. I don't judge defencemen based solely on points as was implied, but I do hope that this tournament is a bit of a high-flying, high-scoring affair. Seems like most people think that it's kind of a joke tournament with basically zero pride and esteem attached to it, so I want lots of goals and highlight-reel plays. To me Vlasic is kind of blah.
I would evaluate things differently for an Olympic team where I might actually care if Canada wins.

Team Canada jerseys haven't used the traditional logo since the 2008 World Championships.
They planned to use them in the 2010 Olympics, but the Hockey Canada logo was banned.
Edit: Nevermind, source was wrong.

How is Hanifin in the discussion for defencemen over Hamilton? What is going on here?

World Juniors have used it more recently than that.

Hanifin is a frickin stud d-man. He should be in the discussion. I'm sure Hamilton is too.

No one should be surprised that Hamilton isn't named yet....he has had his struggles this year as is well documented on this very board. I suspect he will be there in the end though and its hard to find fault in any of the other guys named ahead of him.
As for a C for NA, my guess is Sean Couturier will get some consideration as will Monahan.
And yes Vlasic absolutely should be on TC, dude is a stud player and when you combine his past Olympic experience, it's a no-brainer.
Interesting debate fodder all over the place though.
