That's what I was thinking as well. Flames is a good team, but damn, these teams are on another level. Maybe in a few years...

The Ducks could not fly any longer as they had no lift under their wings.
That concludes the 17th longest NHL playoff overtime in history.

Was a very exciting goal and thrilling conclusion to a great game. Both teams were very good.

That third overtime was exciting but unbearably sloppy. To be expected though. This is going to be a wild series.

Longest games in NHL history: http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=30998
They would have had to go another full OT before they got close to the longest ever Ducks' game.

I'm glad the Schmucks lost. Hopefully that happens three more times this series.

They way that Ryan Kessler must have felt the second he saw that puck was in the net is the way I hope he perpetually feels for the rest of his life.
Go Hawks.

The record is 73 saves by Hrudey in the Easter Epic game where he faced 75 shots from the Washington Capitals.

That was a wild game and one that won't be forgotten. We had triple OT with amazing action, a goal scored by a header that didn't count, a skate going into a player's crotch, a player butt ends himself in the crotch, and Bryan Bickell twittering about butt cheeks.

I cringed when the halfway point of the 3rd OT came. Back in 1996, Friggin Joe Murphy of the Bhawks (and ex-Oiler) scored at the 10:02 mark of triple OT to eliminate the Flames. What is with the Bhawks and triple OT? They already did this with the Predators in round 1 when Seabrook scored the winner and with Shaw scoring the GWG against the Bruins 2 years ago in the SCF. Talk about horseshoes.

One of the more exciting triple OT games I have seen. Perry in particular will have nightmares as he had so many point blank opportunities to end the game but give Crawford credit as he made some huge saves. Not sure why people are so quick to dismiss this guy as an average goaltender because that was elite goaltending at its finest last night.
