Sounds terrible, but should these guys really be blocking shots in a limited meaning game? Especially a guy like Backlund.

Burke doesn't want these young guys to start thinking that they're bigger than the team by having "vanity" numbers. It's also an incentive for the player to get rid of his Training Camp number.

Brett Kulak has been really good IMO, other than the dumb penalty in the 1st.

He shouldn't be. Bennett is fighting for a LW / C spot, I think that's Granlund's to lose. I think moreso, Jooris feels like a veteran and is trying to show some leadership. Though he just picked up a phantom penalty.
