Minnesota has not won a game in April yet - 0 for 3... and their remaining schedule is brutal : Chicago, Nashville and St. Louis on the road.

Too bad Calgary lost the season series against them as they have the tiebreak but if the flames last two against Winnipeg and LA are three pointers it would not surprise me if Minnesota are the team that falls out of it.

With Vancouver 0/2 in April so far and losing tonight (long ways to go), everyone is focused on Calgary, Winnipeg and LA but those two teams are the coldest teams right now and are still right in the thick of it.

If LA wins in regulation tonight, and we win tomorrow in any capacity, we are 2nd in the Pacific by tomorrow. And VAN, LA will both have to not only catch us, they have to finish ahead of us by one point. Same could be true for WPG. We also could be looking at a scenario where WPG or Calgary has to pull a goalie if we are tied in the 3rd on Saturday to get the regulation win.

This is awesome...lol

We are clinching on Thursday.

LA lose tonight.

LA and CGY win tomorrow

CGY win Thursday.

Calgary would be up 3 points with LA only have 1 game left.

GO CANUCKS GO.

How are the Canucks playing? Are they at least getting a few scoring chances?

Pacific

xAnaheim - 107
Vancouver - (80) 95 - Arizona, Edmonton
Los Angeles - (79) 94 - Edmonton, Calgary, San Jose

Wild Card

Minnesota - (79) 96 - Chicago, Nashville, St. Louis
Winnipeg - (79) 94 - St. Louis, Colorado, Calgary

Calgary - (79) 93 - Arizona, Los Angeles, Winnipeg

Maximum number of points the Flames can earn is 99. Not factoring in three point games, which will be poison for the Flames as well, with a single loss the most points the Flames could get is 97. Looking at gift point victories Calgary gets one against Arizona, Vancouver two against Arizona and Edmonton, Los Angeles one against Edmonton, and Winnipeg one against Colorado. The Flames cannot afford a loss against either Winnipeg or Los Angeles as that will stretch the lead against that team, eliminating them from possible mode of a playoff berth. A loss to Los Angeles puts them to 98 points, with a game left against San Jose. A win against LA, but a loss to Winnipeg puts the Flames at 97 points, with the Jets at 98 points (counting a loss to St. Louis but a win against Colorado). The schedule is not set up well for us. We need to win out.

I just can't see there not being one upset in the gimme games. Someones gonna slip up, I just hope it isn't us tomorrow. I think the one that may bite LA in the ass is San Jose. They could easily be in this as well.

Thanks! finally a breakdown. Does not look good for Flames... we need to win out against the two hottest teams in the NHL; Jets and Kings!

And this is the most likely scenario in my eyes^^^

In that scenario they would also have to win in regulation as well. If it went to OT, we would be watching the most meaningless, boring, OT and shootout in the history of the league. We would clinch with OTL or SOL.

I have a feeling Saturday is for all the marbles.
