The only odd man out at the moment is Raymond. But not sure if Bennett can play LW.
Otherwise leave the lineup alone for Tuesday.

Although a center these days, Bennett has played some LW in the past.

He's been playing well over the last 15 or so games, in a shut down role and physical. IMO. Also him Stajan and Bouma played well last night I thought. Since Bennett would not be playing in a similar role, you'd have to move someone up to replace Jones, maybe Colborne (not Jooris because trying to develop chemistry with Gran and Ferland). That would leave Bennett with Backlund and Raymond, which could work.
But I wouldn't sit Jones.

Well you just have to make room for the guy its as simple as that. He has earned his shot. He worked his tail off all these years to earn a 1st overall pick rating, He has done everything that the team has asked, Has undeniable talent . He has done nothing to suggest otherwise.
Its a sad fact of life but someone has to sit to make room for him and the fact that its the playoff race doesn't matter

Tyler Wotherspoon can probably play LW more effectively right now than Mason. Right now hes back to his December/January level of antiproductiveness.
Between Jooris, Byron, Granlund, Ferland, Bennett, Stajan, Colborne, Shore, our bottom 6 does not benefit from Raymond or Bollig.

Would love to see Sam with Backlund and Colborne. Let Raymond sit.....but I doubt that will happen unfortunately.

Hey guys. Is there a CBA reference for playoff games counting towards the 9 game limit to burn off a year of an ELC?
Thanks in advance.

this automatic extension will not apply to a Player who is 19 according to

I would go:
Gaudreau Monahan Hudler
Bouma Backlund Jones
Bennett Stajan Raymond
Fairland Granlund Jooris
Sit Colborne and hope it lights a fire under his tucchas!!
(Aside from last night I feel like he just isn't thinking the game well these days, scaring him with Sam's presence will hopefully get him to take the next step in his development)

He hasn't earned his shot. All he's earned by playing well in juniors is a shot to practice with the team and jump in if there's an injury or a player is under-performing.

If Stajan is staying put in the shutdown line then I see a spot for Sam on the Backlund line with either Colborne or Raymond sitting. I feel that Raymond has been hot garbage for most of the season and Colborne adds some size to the line. Joe has also been frustrating to watch as of late and if he were to sit the speed the Bennett-Backlund-Raymond line would have is very enticing.
I agree that Granlund line was very good yesterday and should be kept together for another game. Sit Colborne or Raymond and bring in Bennett

I don't think there is any way you take out or break up the Jooris-Granlund-Ferland line after last night... our 2nd best line
Colborne and Jones plays a important role on this team (and Colborne isn't as bad as people say, and he had a goal last night)... I don't take either of them out.
Can't see Stajan or Backlund being taken out either
The only guy left IMO is Raymond.... is between Raymond, Bollig and Bennett. I wouldn't hesitate taking out Raymond, just not a fan.

I'm scared about playing LA after going through Edmonton and then Arizona. Not exactly good warmups for the most important game of the season. It can create a false sense of confidence in how good the team actually is playing. It's great that Granlund and Colborne scored against the Oilers but it's just the Oilers.
I wouldn't be surprised if Bollig plays that game against LA. He's the only real deterrent we have against their thugs like Clifford/Nolan

Isn't it better the team have the utmost confidence against LA? Better to play then after winning 2 games then facing them after a tough loss to the Blues.
One thing about the Flames this year is they are pretty even keeled and they are doing a good job taking things one game at a time. They will not look past Arizona and will know the game against LA will be crucial. Personally I hope they put up another dominating performance against the Yotes and have a ton of confidence when the Kings roll to town. That game is going to be a tough one for sure

What was wrong with Colborne's performance last night?!! Seriously, the guy was one of the only Flames who showed up in the 1st period and it was one of his best games as a Flame. YEAH! SIT THAT BUM!!

Bennett in, Raymond out. I'd say sit Colborne but last night he showed that he gave an effort when almost nobody else was. Give him another change to prove it before sitting him

Why do you have to make room for a guy at game 80 of the season? You only play him at this point if you think he's an upgrade. He was a high draft pick and has worked hard all his life so now that he's technically able to play, you "must make room". That would make sense I guess except everyone else that is in the line up also worked hard all their life and paid their junior dues, so what do you do?
Also how does a playoff race not matter? Are you suggesting this team should not be concerned about whether they make it, only concerned about ensuring Bennett is given what he has apparently "earned".

So if Bennett plays the remaining 3 games and a 7 game playoff series he would burn a year off his deal? That kind of sucks.

Just beat the Canucks in six !!
Seriously though, just sit him game#1 of the playoffs.
I'd rather see that than:
1) His first NHL game ever is vs LA
2) He doesn't see any game action this year
