I had a conversation with Jonas Hiller today. It was about my jacket.

It sounds like Monahan won't let him.

We are so damned lucky to have Monahan on this team.

Stamkos had 51 goals in his 20 year old season. I think the last one to do it was Jeff Skinner in 2010-11. Could be wrong though.

Obviously its very early in all their careers, but Monahan has 52 career goals already in 153 games. That's as many as Barkov, Drouin, and Lindholm combined in 323 games. Barkov and Drouin both have goals tonight.
I still can't believe we snagged him at #6 overall!

Pretty impressive considering 30 now is like 40 in the 80s.

Both prediction threads for Johnny and Sean come true. Has that happened before for any other player?

Congrats Mony.
Ever the professional, he downplays the milestone because of the loss.
No Richard Sherman in this boy, that is for sure.

So happy that the Flames went on that garbage time winning streak that caused them to fall to #6.
Thank you Steve Begin for those two GWG in April 2013.

I believe in the Pony Power

From Friedman:
10. Players who’ve scored 30 goals at age 20 in the 21st century: Alexander Ovechkin, Steven Stamkos, Ilya Kovalchuk, Jonathan Toews, Evgeni Malkin, Anze Kopitar, Patrice Bergeron, Marian Gaborik, Evander Kane… and Sean Monahan.
Pretty good company

More like 50.
The year Joe Nieuwendyk broke into the league and scored 51, there were 9 players who scored 50 or more goals that season, with 3 more scoring 48.
This year, there may only be 3 players that score 40 or more.
