Browners option was declined. You would think that means they're freeing up space for Revis

Andre Johnson and Frank Gore have landed in Indianapolis. Gore has signed already. Hope they sign Johnson after his visit tonight. Need a veteran reciever.

This is one confusing trade but still hilarious for a non-fan of both teams.
Eagles get:
Sam Bradford, QB
The Rams’ fifth-round pick this year (2015)
Rams get:
Nick Foles, QB
Eagles’ fourth-round pick this year (2015)
If Sam Bradford starts eight games, Rams get:
Eagles’ second-round pick next year (2016)
If Sam Bradford is injured and that prevents meeting the eight-game condition, Rams get:
Eagles’ third-round pick next year (2016)
If Sam Bradford does not meet the eight-game condition and is not injured, Rams get:
Eagles’ fourth-round pick next year (2016)

They just said on NFL Network that the 2nd round pick is not conditional and the Rams get that no matter what.

Not entirely Correct ^^
Rams automatically get Eagles 2nd rounder, and the Eagles get the Rams 3rd if Bradford doesn't play at all and their 4th if he plays less than half the snaps

I'm trying to make sense of it... I guess if Bradford had never been injured, We'd say he's a way better QB than Foles. I do think Foles will not have a very good year in STL, but more than anything I'm being hopeful.

Trade just makes zero sense from any perspective. Foles' rookie year, where he started only seven games, projected to almost as good a season as Bradford's best. Foles for Bradford straight up would've been a bad trade. Adding picks is just madness.

In chip we trust...
At least it'll be a fun season to watch, I'll be praying that bradford starts every game this season and we have a StL v PHI NFC Championship game haha

I take back what I said about this making zero sense. There are only three scenarios in which this deal makes sense:
1) When Maclin signed with the Chiefs and Gore signed with the Colts, Chip realized he couldn't fill all the holes in free agency and so had to build through the draft, which he wouldn't have been able to do if he drafted Mariota. Bradford apparently ran an offense similar to Chip's at OU, so he was the backup plan.
2) He's planning on flipping Bradford to Tennessee, Tampa, or the Jets in order to move up for Mariota.
3) He's completely lost his mind and is in way over his head as a personnel guy/GM.

Lots of teams in on DeMarco Murray. Raiders and Jaguars are both making big pushes on him.

If they can trade Bradford for Kaepernick straight up then I think that works and isn't too costly for Philly (Foles and two 4th rounders). I think Kaep is mediocre but I mean mediocre in Chip's offense can look really good. And then you factor in his running ability...does make some sense.

I'd be fine with that trade because I think Kap would be great in Chip's offense, but I don't see how that makes any sense for the Niners, other than the fact that it gets them out of Kap's contract and frees up cap space.

As bad as Chip Kelly has been this offseason, Jed York has been worse, so that's how it makes sense. I also get the feeling Kaep was Harbaugh's guy and maybe Tomsula isn't a fan. Bradford only has one year on his deal so if he plays well you got a QB and if he doesn't or gets hurt you're in position to draft a QB near the top next year.

Well, that extra mil a year he will get with the Jets will cost him an additional 6-8 wins.
The Browner release is a bit of a head scratcher. Maybe they wanted to cut him to free up the space for Revis, but talk about a huge risk that didn't pay off. The Pats had finally built their defense back up to being just average, now it has been gutted. Sure the presence of Revis makes Browner a better player, but he was still the #2 CB after Revis.

Ya, but any word on the guarantee? Im sure thats what it came down to.
Edit- 39 guaranteed. Pats apparantly offered 35. Cue the cheap Kraft talk by Pats fans.

Take it with a grain of salt if you want, but according to Eagles PR guy, they've really liked Bradford for a while and had to beat out other teams to get him. Just seems bizarre to me for a guy who has never proven anything even when healthy.

Should also cost the Jets a first round pick at least for tampering. We'll see what the league does but this one was blatant as can be and apparently they might have done it more than once.
