He's often the player who draws the penalty, which means he'd be getting double shifted if he started the PP.

Scrums after the play... Something you'll never see in an Oilers game.

He's 20 fricken years old and has been forced into top minutes against top lines. Give the guy a break. He's been a stud. Watch the games.

Byron does a better job standing up for Granlund than Taylor Hall does standing up for Draisaitl.

Actually, he's been the best and most consistent forward on the team.

I want to see Baertschi back with Byron. I really liked what I was seeing from both when they were together.

He's been exceptional this year, raised his game above last years. He's playing against the league's best forwards every game since Stajan and Backlund have been out. His first 4-5 games were shaky but he's been kinda brilliant since. On pace for around 30 goals and 60 points, and playing against top players. You're seeing more mistakes (maybe) but not putting that into the context of the rest of his game and responsibilities.

We all see the game and each player differently but I can't overstate how wrong you are here.

Please get one before 40 is up. I don't like the idea of yet another two goal deficit going into the third.

I don't think a player loses hockey IQ from one season to the next.

He has had some struggles at time this year but I attribute it to him being 20 years old and playing as a number 1/2 centre - he's being assigned to shut down the top centres in the league. It's a huge jump from his role last year and he needs to learn - it has nothing to do with hockey IQ.

I think he's done quite well, all things considered.

Has Sven played in the second? It would suck if he's injured after such a good first.

Flames lack of size is really showing in this game.
