The Moncton situation is what shook Cherry up. Came back post game and flashed his RCMP tie pin, said nothing more.

Healy makes me laugh.
- Defender dives, hits puck first and Healy wonders why it's not a penalty shot.
- Player gets slashed, stick breaks and Healy says it shouldn't be a penalty.
Ladies and gentlemen, Glenn Healy - Rangers homer and hockey know it all.

Maybe he was thinking of career journeyman NHL player Jason Williams who is currently playing in Europe.

I am with you on everything but the Ranger homer. He's a mixed up homer because he also played for the Kings.

According to @EliasSports, LA's 20-3 shot advantage in the 3rd was the largest differential in a Cup Final period since expansion in 67-68.

What's ironic tonight is the Rangers liked their chances and were for the most part OK with how they played. The Kings were not at all.

Well maybe I am wrong, but to me he seems to favor the Rangers (approx 130gp and a cup with the Rangers. Approx 80gp with the Kings). Don't forget, halfway through his first season as starter with the Kings they acquired Hrudey and released him.

I think Healy's concerned that the back up goalie from the winning team will take his schtick about "big US market" winning perspective and how they "captured the city" during this timeframe. It's about job security .

The reason I say he's a mixed up homer is that he was favouring the Kings in 2012 vs the Devils. Healy wasn't released by the Kings when he was the starter as he played in the playoffs for the Kings backing up Hrudey. He also got to be with Gretzky for a full season.

Maybe I didn't explain it properly in my original post. Healy couldn't cut it as a starter so the Kings acquired Hrudey, Healy finished the season as the backup and was released the following season. Maybe he cheered for them in 2012, but there is little doubt in my mind that he favours the Rangers vs the Kings.
Regardless, Healy is terrible.

And to get away from the Healy discussion, did nobody else notice Doughty telling Carter to shut the f* up?
It was when Doughty was yelling at the refs for missing the butt-end.

We can agree on how terrible he is. He is also a homer when the Leafs and Islanders play since he played for them too.

I would replace Gaborik with Kopitar.
If the Kings win I think it will be between Kopitar and Doughty.
If the Rangers win it will almost certainly be Lundqvist.

It might be Lundqvist even if the Kings win.

Looked to be the other way around. Looked to me like Carter was telling him to settle down and relax.

Maybe you misunderstood my post (or I didn't explain myself properly), for sure Carter was, then Doughty told him to "shut the f* up".
No big deal and was obviously heat of the moment. Doughty was irate and Carter was just trying to avoid a penalty for unsportsmanlike. I just thought it was amusing.

He's been good, but Kopitar also has only one goal since the first round of the playoffs, or since April, which ever way you want to put it.

I wonder what his possession numbers are like.
Probably astronomical.

But has been in on pretty much every one of Gaborik's goals, and is generally a big part of them keeping possession in the ozone and has also be great on the d-side.
